I went for my first appt today and upon entering I noticed patients in the waiting area had no mask on. I proceeded to the reception desk where I also noticed no one behind the counter (employees) was masked. I asked the receptionist about masking and she said it was optional. I respectfully cancelled my appt and will find another office that is a little more considerate of patients with preexisting conditions. This is just to inform you of it makes a difference like it does for me.
I have been going to this place since I was a child and I will say the doctors are nice but there help and front desk girls are horrible. They wont give you your contacts even if you dont have to have a check up yet and they are just plain rude. I one time told dr miles about this and he said that if they withheld my glasses or contacts from me again to ask for him but of course they are to busy "meaning they refuse" to let me speak to him. So unfortunately after having to deal with the same people there for a while I'm looking for a new eye doctor because I'm tired of the horrible service. Again doctors are great but there help sucks.
Dr David Miles is an outstanding optometrist but one lady on the front desk has caused me to drop a star. He improved my vision enormously, however the special payment arrangements I made with him were ignored by the front desk. She refused to talk to him about it as "he is with patients". So I now will be late on my house payment and pay a late fee and take a possible hit on my credit report. Oh well she was "just doing her job"........I will come back next year but I will not deal with her. This same woman just handed me my glasses when they came in.....no fitting, no checking, just pay and go.
I was having vision problems and made a next-day appointment to be examined. Dr. Monica Miles discovered a detachment in my retina and got me a same-day referral to see a retina specialist who was able to laser me right away. Thank you, Dr. Miles!
Amazing visit Dr. Miles is very through and helped me understand that my eyes were allergic to the solution I was using. I would highly recommend this establishment for all you eye needs. Also, was a walk in filled out paperwork and boom right back. Amazing experience all around from front desk to the appointment makes you feel right at home.
