I always have such high hopes for this place but always leave a bit disappointed. The location is fabulous, with an outdoor space that could be phenomenal but they don't take advantage of it. Sure there are tables and chairs, and nice string lights, but there are also old pieces of equipment and what looks like a failed pizza oven or brick fire pit. It needs some sprucing up, music and better ambiance. I would expect this patio to be packed all of the time if they did. The food always sounds amazing and I LOVE that they source locally - this is an awesome bonus. The chef is fun - tonight he busted out Sweet Caroline! But when our risotto came out undercooked (the rice was crunchy), the server didn't say anything. And the manager just shrugged his shoulders. They did take it off the bill but their reaction was odd. The ramen sounded delicious but the flavor was a bit flat. The wait staff are friendly but certainly don't try to go above and beyond. Tonight when we asked what the jam was, our server said he'd check. He went into the kitchen and he came back and said "It's strawberry something, maybe peach". Um, didn't you just ask? They have a great little bar and amazing selection of spirits. Bonfire Grill has just so much potential to be THE hang out place in Tomball. It would be an amazing place for brunch with Mimosa flights and Bloody Mary flights. I would love to see them blow it out of the water with their ambiance and service but each time it leaves much to be desired.

We loved the atmosphere and the food was okay (pizza was great but the sticky buns didnt have as much flavor as I expected). But we got horrible service from our waitress while they werent busy at all.

Darin we are so sorry to hear this! We have strict cleaning and sanitation procedures that are followed as well as consistent pest service that is contracted out professionally. With the weather and firewood we use sometimes things do crawl in but it is immediately addressed. Had a roach scamper across from the food prep area. We told the person and asked to move to a table not wanting to cause a problem. Food good but was never told sorry or anything about the roach.! We left and no matter how the food was I cant go back!
