Firstly, due to the nature and variety of the products we sell (large consignments, heavy weight, low value, low weight etc..) we cannot provide a definitive shipping cost where items described by couriers / Royal Mail "dangerous / hazardous goods". As such the only way to ship to particular locations is via selected couriers. They charge accordingly as extended areas. We do state on our website, on the shipping page these matters. In this instance the size of the item is of no consequence, the type of item does. Batteries can not be sent by Royal Mail, and couriers class your location as highlands. Looking in to this matter at no time did you make an offer to pay for the extra shipping or even so much as part pay. This is fine and understandable. Sorry we did not meet your ideal of customer service on this occasion.

Awful Customer Service After ordering a Sony a7iii battery I was informed I would have to pay an extra 12 delivery as I am not in Mainland UK! Since when was Scotland separated? UK digital had no compromise and were unwilling to fulfil the order in any way or even split the postage cost. So 18 delivery for a small Sony camera battery! This company really needs to look at it's processes/customer services and think hard if they want to gain and keep new customers!
ordered a panasonic g80 camera but I noticed a few issues with it, so I returned it. wanted to order a g90 but the shop refused to send it out saying the g80 is same to the g90. they thought they know better what I want and what I need than myself...refund took ages to arrive excuse said the accountant is self isolating...
Ordered a Panasonic FZ82 plus case, card and battery bundle. Best online price (after Panasonic's cashback). Came the next day via DPD who give an hour time slot. Really well packaged and very pleased to see that they reuse paper to act as a buffer inside the main parcel box - so much better for recycling than plastic. Would use again based on this experience.

We offer free expert advice in relation to all camera lenses and can advise on suitability, which would minimise the inconvenience of product return. Full refunds are given in accordance with relevant UK regulations. Our extended returns period is clearly visible and its implications. We do not offer a buy and try service for 30 days. Your opinion is respected, but completely incorrect on many points.

Horrible experience with Ukdigital. I bought a Sony 18-105mm lens from them recently and sent it back because it wasn't right for my needs (bad in low light). They sent me an email saying they would charge me 75 (eventually reduced to 60, lucky me) from a my refund because their returns policy was 14 days and not 30. This was not made clear on their website, if it was I obviously would've sent it back before 14 days, not 30, it gives the impression that they offer a 30 day returns policy. Disappointing. I've sent stuff back to gray market stores on the other side of the world and got a full refund and was under the impression I would be safe with a UK seller. Oh well, you live and learn. Just not nice to deal with a retailer who holds their customer with such contempt.
