Attended this school from the year 2004-2007 completing 2 full terms in 9th and 10th grade and doing half in both 11 and 12th grade. There were much to like than dislike. For the most part i enjoyed it there From the kids, teachers to the staff. Still remember my teachers, and classmates like it was yesterday. Have my report cards. ID number locked in my memories.
My best years of my life back in the early eighties! I was a big time graffiti artist and still attended classes, I've never forgotten those years. It was a rough time but the music and styles were better then today, it was real (word)
I graduated in 82. I started at the school the year after it reopened for a "reconstruction period". I saw incredible amounts of violence, both student on student and student on faculty. They realigned the school boundaries in 1978 without notifying the residents that were to be affected by this change and a week before school started I was notified that I WAS NOT going to attend John Adams but I was reassigned to Lane. My parents tried to fight it but to no avail.... to top it off, there was no bus service near my house so I had to walk to and from school every day... nearly 3.5 miles... to get to HELL. I received an excellent education because I ended up in classes that were being "watched" by the city comptroller but I'm sure that after the 5-year plan ended the school returned to total chaos... as noted by the closure a few years ago
