Im a 33 year old veteran and I came with my family and friends to celebrate my homecoming. I had to order a replacement driver license and had an official notarized document from Texas DPS AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE. Upon entering with everyone, I was inform that I could not drink any alcohol in the place, even with a passport present in my car. They stated that its against TABC law but.. Im also a bartender soo. I should know right ?? Seems like a case of judgement from appearance.. The place is nice but come with a warning: You will be judged !!!! Such a shame !!
I get that it's a challenge to keep up with maintenance and repair of many video games, and similar game play equipment. I had my mind set on playing Big Buck Hunter, but it was not working to my disappointment. 2 other games I wanted to play were not working. The Happ (manufacturer name) light optical gun on Carnevil needs one side of the plastic replaced since there's a split in the gun grip or the barrel "muzzle" end tip. It works and registers your trigger pulls, but looks stupid. The restroom was filthy, and this is not pleasant when you need to relieve yourself. Parking is very limited and don't like parking at a nearby property where you risk getting your vehicle towed at your expense and liability. Was not happy with this place 3 years ago, and not happy with it now. Just thought I would come back again and find out if the place has changed for the better, but has not by my standards, and not worth the drive to Arlington. The Richardson Free Play location is excellent, and lots closer to where I live, and will go back there, but NOT THE ARLINGTON LOCATION. This visit to Arlington Free Play has been one misadventure after another, and, in the most absolute terms, I HATED MY EXPERIENCE there last week, except for the very nice lady who greeted me nicely when I first came in.
This place is cool and fun but needs to change its policies. My wifes ID expired last month and she has the temporary paper one until they snail mail the new one. Because of this they kicked her out at 9 pm with everyone who is underage (she is 24). I will say that the staff was respectful about it and communicated everything clearly so I have no issue with them, I just think their policies should be changed to accept a paper license if its clearly valid. She had the expired one with her as well to prove it. Its not like she was even trying to buy alcohol nor did she want to, we just wanted to play the arcade games with our group of friends that we invited here. They told us that they legally couldnt allow her to stay, which just doesnt make any sense at all.
