German to English translation: Either everyone falls for the same Facebook or what do I know hype and trust Google, but not their own taste buds or I got the absolute exception. I have NEVER eaten such bad mussels in my whole life (+60). Small, no taste, neither of mussels nor of a fine brew. Muscles with Garlic were promised, but it came with onions. But the best part was the consistency. About a quarter of the clams were all soft and slimy, really gross. Of course I left most of it and fled.. REPLY: It's been a long time since we had a one star review: We're sorry you were dissatisfied with our produce, this I must say is a very rare occurrence. Presumably you never brought it to our attention as there is no mention of any interaction with our staff thereafter, surely the sensible diner would complain and have the staff rectify the problem, perhaps your not that way inclined and prefer the immediacy of a "social media outburst" with no option given to have your dissatisfaction rectified which given the chance I know we would have. What would have read much better was "never enjoyed the mussels, brought it to the outlets attention and they supplied me with a lovely fresh plate".. Your happy, we're happy !.. Cheers Tony..

Entweder fallen alle auf den gleichen Facebook oder was weiss ich Hype rein und trauen Google, aber nicht den eigenen Geschmacksknospen oder ich bekam die absolute Ausnahme. Ich habe in meinem ganzen Leben (+60) noch NIE so schlechte Muscheln gegessen. Klein, kein Geschmack, weder nach Muschel, noch einem feinen Sud. Versprochen waren Muscles with Garlic, es waren aber Zwiebeln dran. Das Beste war aber die Konsistenz. Etwa ein Viertel der Muscheln war ganz weich und schleimig, richtig eklig. Ich habe natürlich das meiste stehen gelassen und bin geflüchtet.

Lovely little seafood shack, friendly lady doing the mussels out at the front. Fresh seafood for reasonable prices(i mean its still the UK). Make sure to go early in the day so you can get everything they offer as they do run out of things quickly. One thing id like would be a pint with my food, but its probably a licence issue.

The Oban Seafood Hut definitely has good fresh seafood but you must be patient to finally get your order. The quality of the fresh cooked seafood is tops. The freshly cooked mussels are especially good. Around midday so many people are trying to order seafood that the staff is definitely overworked. With a little better organization it would certainly be a much better experience for all the customers who are trying to get some good food. When a lot of people are ordering food you have to expect 30 to 40 minutes waiting time before your order is ready. Fortunately, the waiting time as well worth it because the freshly prepared seafood is definitely worth the wait. Would we go here again, yes, however we will try to find a time when not so many people are ordering food. Positive points: - very good freshly prepared seafood Delta: or negative points, The whole process could be quite easily be better organized. Would we go here again? Definitely yes.
