If you would like to return the products then we have a generous 28 day returns period for a refund. Tinsmiths is an independent retailer, we develop and sell our own products as well as stocking products that we think are of interest to our customers from other high quality suppliers. The description of the lighting products that we stock is transparent; all products are sold with the name that our supplier has given them and all our sold at RRP or below during offer or sale periods. Customers can of course search these product names online to see if they are available elsewhere and I am so sorry that you did not do this prior to placing your order.

Be certain to check prices elsewhere before you buy from this establishment. Their website is misleading and their service snooty, at best. Many of the lighting products can be found elsewhere online for a cheaper price. Be aware the lighting products are not unique to them - despite that being the image that the website gives. Much better customer service from independents elsewhere.
Dear Mrs Taylor I am sorry that we were unable to supply your fabric as quickly as you required. You were aware that this fabric was not a stock fabric at the time of ordering and that it would be ordered in for you. At that point you were provided with an approximate lead time. All onward orders were placed promptly (the next working day) however owing to the changing situation with regard Covid-19 delivery was delayed from our supplier (Ian Mankin) by 2-3 days and I am sorry that we did not keep you updated about this delay. This particular week (beginning 16th March 2020) is a week of particular stress for us all. In common with the rest of the country we have been arranging home working for our small office team and assessing at what point we close our showroom because of the virus. Following a conversation with your husband a full refund was issued with the suggestion that you order the fabric elsewhere since he was clearly so dissatisfied. I am sorry that this time of extraordinary difficulty impacted on our ability to deliver this cloth as quickly as you required.

Avoid this store! Their customer service is awful! We placed an order. As we needed the fabric in a hurry , were told the fabric would be shipped from the supplier directly to us. Tinsmiths charged us extra for delivery on this understanding and told us that the fabric would be with us in a few days. We had to chase Tinsmiths because we hadn't received the fabric and they denied all knowledge of the conversation saying that they were waiting for the fabric to arrive at their store. No apology was proferred but the owner effectively asked us to take our business elsewhere, which we have happily done. We have ordered the fabric directly from Ian Mankin and their customer service was just excellent!
