Scott, we are sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with us. None of this is up to our standards as well or how we handle our guests. We do strive to get each guest in before 4 and 99% of the time we are successful. We had 60 turns that day and all but 2 were in before 4. We apologize that you were not. We did extend your check out time by 2 hours in hopes to make up for it. We hope you still enjoyed your time in town.

Disappointing stay; dirty at check-in; management couldn't care less. We stayed at A River Adventure #4237 Dec 27, 2021 - Jan 1, 2022. Be aware of "check-in starts at 4pm". We were told on Sat 12/24 that it should not be a problem to arrive at 4pm (or even earlier with 2pm possible) based on the fact that the unit was not booked for the nights prior to our arrival. As we got into Gatlinburg and still had not received confirmation of an estimated check-in time (this was approaching 3:45EST) we received a call from an Aunt Bugs employee saying that housekeeping had said they were starting to work on our cabin but the previous guests had left it a mess and they did not know when it would be ready but they would definitely let us know something by 8pm as that is the time the office closed. Fast forward to our arrival at the cabin, its a major understatement to say this cabin needs some MAJOR TLC. When we arrived, the codes given for the lockboxes and door codes were all mixed up. There was still food crumbs and even Monopoly money left on the floor in both the den and kitchen and candy was found in the outdoor fire pit. It appeared the cabin had been very quickly cleaned, just doing the bare minimum in obvious common areas and (hopefully) sheets being swapped and towels left. The Ice Maker in the first cabin did not work. The kitchens are VERY poorly stocked in regard to cooking pots/pans. The Keurig coffee maker sounded like a jackhammer, so quiet morning coffee while others still slept was impossible. We did not have forks/knives in either cabin and those had to be brought to us the day after check-in. Both dishwashers in each cabin were full of dirty dishes and smelled horrible. There was melted cheese left in the microwave. The bottom floor shower in the cabin with a loft area leaked out onto the bathroom floor. It was seeping out of the bottom of the shower thru the tile/grout. When we called about this, first the guy tried to brush my sister in law off and condescendingly tell her thats normal, but when her husband got on the phone, he went into more detail about that being a known leak/problem and told us to pile towels around the base of the shower to stop the water (we were never given extra towels to make up for what was needed here). Both hot tubs were full of dirt and leaves upon arrival and were not clean. The walls, floors and fans are all caked with dust and cobwebs. When paying a premium amount of money per night to stay in a place you expect a much cleaner and kept place than what we encountered upon our arrival and during our stay. To be fair, layout between the two cabins being inter-connected with the outdoor firepit/common area was very nice, but the rental unfortunately was more of an overall disappointment for the price and definitely not worth the price we paid for 5 nights.
Your reservation is marked as "guest requests to come to office to check in". If you received any notifications still, those are automated and from a different system. Some cabins simply do not have a mountain view. If you ask for that specifically, we can find you one that delivers. We do hope that you found something enjoyable about your time in town. We have almost 170 cabins to choose from. Please call us on your next visit so we can find you the perfect one for you.

stayed in #117 cabin fever from march 12 til 15. had to check in at office could not get stupid email check in to work.they r still emailing me to check in.bed was lumpy. no mountain view. glad i brought my own dishwashing liquid. laundry stuff. cabin was clean but will not stayn againneighbors that live behind cabhave a dog that never stops barking. no parking space. I need a new phone..lihhting was so datk i was afraid of falling in shower

We needed a cabin on the same day due to a power outage at our previously booked cabin with another company. We walked in the door because we happened to be using the laundry mat next door. They were very friendly and helpful and set us up with a cabin we could get in that same hour. It was easy check-in and out. Beautiful, clean cabin. Highly reccomend!

I rented Tontos Teepee 123 in Sevierville,Tenn. I have used Aunt Bees before without any issue. But this cabin needs several issues addressed. The king sized mattress in the one bedroom in this one bedroom cabin needs to be replaced. It has a large tunnel pit from the top of the mattress all the way to the foot. It has no support and I woke up every morning and during the night with my whole body hurting . You can visibly see the pit when you walk in the room. It's that bad. The screened in porches is ripped so you can't sit out there without bugs flying in. The foosball table and the hot tub take up the entire area The chairs at the kitchen table are weak and unstable. The cushion inside the vinyl cover on the seat of the chairs are gone. All that you sit on is vinyl and you sink down in it. It's a wonder no one has fell to the floor as there is no support under them. The water in all the faucets are set too high at the water heater. They go from warm to scalding. A young child or even an adult are at risk of being badly burned. It's a quick fix to turn down the temperature. This has been addressed in other reviews. As the screen on the porch also has been addressed in other reviews. . The cabin needs a deep cleaning. There is no view except for trees that cover any view at all. The picture on the website is deceiving. I would not recommend this cabin for the amount of money it cost to rent it.
