Mrs. Rogers, as I expressed to your brother in law when I spoke to him, I am very sorry that he had a problem in the cemetery. To further address the issues you have raised on Google, myself, Lisa McGivern, Matthew Hayes, Lea Ann Barraco and Pat Harris all spoke to either you or your brother in law about this incident. While I would not characterize our explanation of the condition of the cemetery grounds as a "song and dance", I would hope people would realize as a facility of over 112 acres we are constantly trying to monitor upkeep. There are over 40,000 bronze on granite markers in our cemetery which constantly shift based on the condition of the ground, the weather and the burials in the area. While we certainly are not a "mom and pop operation" it is impossible to guarantee every inch of the cemetery will be level at all times. I would certainly caution anyone who has to use a walker NOT to venture into the cemetery and if you must do so, please come to the office and ask for our assistance. When your brother in law called us the day after the incident, and then let us know about the specific location of the problem the day after that, we immediately fixed the area. I hope that in the future if you have any issues you contact us directly for assistance at the office. We have staff available seven days a week to help you if needed. And I would like to take this opportunity to ask the public at large to please let us know if you are using walkers, canes or any other modes of ambulatory assistance in the cemetery. Due to the many markers in the cemetery it may be difficult for you to navigate. We are happy to assist. Again, I hope that your brother in law is doing well. Do not hesitate to contact us if we may assist you in the future. John B. Appel Jr. Managing Partner

My brother in law fell in a hole that I could put both feet in that was 6" deep. He re damaged his knee he had surgery on. No one bothered to call to check on him. They gave us a song and dance on the water table, them not able to keep up with filling all the holes on property and how they are "a small mom and pop operation". If a plot hadn't been gererously given to me for my husband after his sudden death just a year ago, he wouldn't have been buried there at all. They mislaid my husbands headstone as well. Not a happy camper and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
Our cemetery sales professional was far too casual IMO. We were asked about our plans to enjoy our weekend as if we werent grieving and selecting a resting place for a parent who passed away. The rep even even felt it necessary to bash a different cemetery we were considering as she once worked there. We ultimately asked to speak with the family svcs manager who was both professional and knowledgeable. Fortunately, we didnt allow the lack of professionalism of our initial assignment to completely taint our opinion of this company.
Garden of Memories was very helpful with my moms funeral plans. They were very understanding and guided me with everything. They contacted me after to check on how I was doing. They made me feel that it is not just a business to them but they are truly compassionate and understand what you are needing.
I'll start out by saying regarding our complaint that my husband has contacted them multiple times about it over the past 2 years with no resolve or attempt. Further more when asked who he could speak with else-wise he was told "no one," by the manager Mark Gelp. My father-in-law had his funeral here over 2 years ago in which the elevator for the veterans mausoleum has been broken since. They have been "working on it," for 2 years +.... It is actually due to a truck backing into it and argument of who is to pay for it....He is buried on the 2nd floor, and for my 70 year old mother-in-law this is hard, as well as extremely dangerous. She of course wants to visit her husband's grave. For the amount paid this should not be such a precarious, and problematic issue. I work with many geriatrics in my profession, and I will tell you that it is unrealistic and unsafe conditions. DO NOT USE unless
