The trails are poorly taken care of. It was very fun walking through them with my dog, especially climbing the part on the longer trail, but eventually we got lost due to everything being covered in fallen trees and leaves. It took us 30 minutes to refind the trail, out from under a very large fallen tree, and since there is little to no cell service in the area I was honestly afraid for my life. I will not be going back.
70+ of family tradition. Sad to see this non profit take it over and trails along with all else deteriorate but still a great desination for us to visit and respectfully enjoy. Please divert attention quickly to the old shelter at the picnic area other wise we will lose it as well. The state alone never had an issue maintaining it.
