After going to a certified Kitesurfing school (down in Long Beach with multiple instructors) I can say this is not the place for beginners. Additionally, he didn't make the experience fun but rather made it negative (comments like "you won't be able to make it"). There's only one teacher here (John), after teaching how to maneuver the kite from his boat he "throws" you to the water and see if you can make it (vs Long Beach school were instructor goes with you into water and shows the techniques), no sand/beach/on land sessions with the kite (a must in my opinion). Overpriced vs the service offered.
Thanks yaniv, glad you were impressed and did so well! Come back out anytime!

Had a 3 hour window on a business trip in San Francisco and KiteTheBay was a perfect fit. I showed up with Jeans and snickers and was in the water kiting in no time. By far the most time effective kiting experience Ive had. John showed me some new tricks and the peace of mind of having the boat around at all times is awesome and gives you the confidence to focus on improving your skills without worrying about getting back, where to go etc.
I highly recommend John for all of your "wind junkie" activities. He's an expert in all of it, good thorough training sessions, quality equipment (even has radio enabled helmets so he can give instruction from the beach) and good communications. I did the efoil session which was a blast.
