I wish I could rate the Sales and Service Separately, Called and set a test ride on RT, got there and it was out on ride and I guess the one sales guy (Rainer) told the other that it more than likely was sold!! Do people not talk? I took time out of my day what a waste! I was offered a 1250 to ride but It wasn't the model that I wanted and they will ride very different. Let's just say if I buy a bike it won't be from them. I always had good service from shop and if I end up buying a BMW (Not from them) I would use the service dept only, And that is if I buy a BMW.

Pros: The selection of accessories, and range of bikes was good. Cons: Hands down some of the worst service and staff I have encountered in a BMW branded locale (this location is independently owned, from what I was able to find online). Details: I own three BMW vehicles (Z4M Coupé, 428i Gran Coupé, M4), and grew up in a family where that little blue and white roundel was always present. My brother recently purchased a Harley Davidson, and I've been more than a little jealous of how much fun he is having on it. So what did I do? I spent the last 2 months researching motorcycles, and fell in love with the BMW Motorrad range. I am very interested in a NineT, but was curious about the F800R. So this week I cleared my Saturday, drove 45 minutes to Tigard, and stopped by the dealership. How was the test ride? I can't say. Who helped me? I can't answer that as well. How the service overall? I would tell you if I could. I was in the showroom for an hour and a half, and was not spoken to, acknowledged, or greeted, by a single employee. After 45 minutes of waiting I pulled out my phone and turned to google to answer questions, while texting my brother. I was fairly certain after an hour of being there I wanted the NineT, but wasn't sure how to tell if it was 'the one'. After still not having been acknowledged or helped I called my brother whom patiently took the time to, over the phone, walk me through sizing myself up properly for the bike, which gear to purchase with it, and how to tell if it would be comfortable on long cruises. He even offered to come down to the dealer with me the weekend after next and help me in person. Good news; I love the NineT and will be purchasing one! Not so good news; after 90 minutes without being helped I'm going to purchase it at another dealer, in Washington, as I have two holidays in Seattle coming up over the next few weeks. I'm not sure why I wasn't helped. I assumed they were busy, but two additional guests came in while I was there and were promptly assisted. Maybe it's due to my appearance/age? I am 29, but am often mistaken for being in my late teens to early 20's. It's a family blessing/curse. Was it how I was dressed? Short sleeve shirt, and shorts? I doubt it; other guests were dressed similarly. I have a feeling the sales staff simply assumed I was some kid just looking around. If that was the case, and they check these reviews, let me pass along some insight; that shouldn't matter, and even if it did I have a successful career, am well educated, and came in driving a new BMW that twice I saw your staff step outside and checkout after they saw me exit the vehicle. I have no issue making my purchase elsewhere, it's a shame the money couldnt go to support a local business.

If you are in the market for a new bike, I want Portlanders to "shop local", but I can't bring myself to recommend this place for sales or service. I did some comparing of bike prices for a friend who wanted to buy herself a new bike. BMW of Western Oregon was very strict on their prices. You must pay this price and there is nothing you can do about it, no deals! I called one of the places up near Seattle. Same bike was the same price, but they were going to give her the BMW saddlebags for free as well as install them for free, which is like, more than $1000. Another thing, is you still don't pay sales tax on the bike, if you are an Oregon resident. As far as service, there had been a mistake in verbal description of one of my bills I got from them. My previous review of this place was actually quite poor, but since having spoke with the manager, he clarified more of what happened. So now I feel like the service is quite good. I don't know if they are more expensive or the same as other BMW qualified service shops, but you can feel confident knowing that it was done right.

Probably the best vehicle buying experience I've ever had. These guys are professionals, not at all smarmy like other dealerships including what is now a BMW dealership in Vancouver. Nobody tried to push anything on me, but they were attentive and answered all my questions. Rainer, the sales manager, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It's a little out of the way if you're in North Portland or Vancouver, but it's absolutely worth the trip. Save yourself the frustration and poor treatment with the other BMW dealership and go here instead.

lacking a legitimate BMW motorcycle dealer in Portland, many in the community had high hopes when BMWOR opened up here. Alas, reviews have been mixed. I'm reasonably happy with the staff and the mix of gear that they sell (the BMW clothing is very high quality and well priced for what it is). Parts have been hit and miss, they tend to understock and when you really really need a brake pad now it just doesn't do to have to wait two weeks to order one, not in an era of internet sales. The service department is very slow and I've not had good results, so won't use them again. No experience with sales, though they have an admirable selection of new and quality used bikes. They have interesting seminars on a regular basis which is a real plus. Overall, I'm afraid this is a bit too much of the large dealer experience. i like them for clothing and their seminars, but not for parts or service.
