It was very plainly explained to this person *before they came* that there was no possible way they could leave with the car on that day. Due to Covid, we do not have any DMV services on Saturdays *without prior notice*. We even offered to deliver the car to their door (which they declined because they did not want someone else driving the car. Which was a used vehicle that had been driven 115,000 Miles by someone else). They called 53 minutes before we closed and told us they will be here right when we open the following morning. So, yes, with less than 1 hour notice, we cannot typically have you driving away. Again, this was very plainly explained to this person before they came, and yet they still came. But with proper communication and notice, we have had folks fly in from a cross the county and be at our lot less than 10 minutes before leaving with their new car (no exaggeration). For anyone who does not believe this, give us a shot. Give us proper notice, have the ability to follow a few simple instructions through email, phone, or text, and we GUARANTEE you can leave our lot with your new car in less than 10 minutes. We do this multiple times a week, and take great pride in offering the quickest and easiest pickups in the industry. Only catch- we are a small dealership, we have a small staff, we just need a little notice. And, if we cant, just as we did with this person, we will absolutely be upfront and honest with you and tell you before you come. We absolutely promise to respect your time as if it was our own.

Very disappointed with driven automotive i called a day before to confirm that the vehicle was in fact on the lot and asked if they knew of any tow dollys for rent in the area they said no. But the car is here. I drove 2 hours with cash in hand to find out i couldn't leave with the car the same day and there is zero negotiating with the prices. And the man was kind of rude about it. I wont say his name. I will NEVER come back here.

Miss Jones was referred to us by a friend. She came to us in need of a car, but did not have any money to purchase a car. She had a Lexus that she needed to trade in and said she needed a car and an extra $2000. Which equated to her budget being around $3000. We do not sell cars for $3000, because cars that inexpensive do not meet our high standards of quality. But, trying to help out a friend, we offered her a car that was traded into us by another customer, that did not meet our usual standards of quality (which we informed her of), but it did fit into her budget. She brought the car back to us a week later, after driving it 354 miles and said she was having trouble with the transmission. We took the vehicle to a transmission repair shop for her, at no cost to her. And while, it was at the shop, we paid for her to have a rental car for one week. The car did in fact have a problem with the transmission. Her warranty claim was denied by the warranty company, but not be any fault of ours. During her interview with the warranty company, she told the warranty company that she thought the transmission was bad before she even purchased the car. We had the car checked out by our shop prior to her purchasing it, made the necessary repairs for it to pass NYS inspection, and road tested the car, with no issues. Miss Jones returned her rental car that we paid for, driving it 752 miles in the week she had it. Which was over her agreed upon miles with the rental car company, which incurred even further expense on our part, as she did not have the money to pay for her mileage overage when she returned the car. We then explained to Miss Jones that we do not sell cars that have problems, and that we are very sorry that she had a problem with the car. We then issued her a FULL refund for the car, no questions asked. She came in, and we wrote her a check for the total purchase price of the car. We stand behind every car we sell. And a lesson has been learned to not lower our standards to sell inexpensive cars to people that do not have the means to purchase the cars that we do sell. I personally apologized to Miss Jones for her inconvenience several times. I honestly feel very bad that she had trouble with the car, which is why I personally paid for her to have a vehicle during the time the car was in the shop, and I issued her a full refund for the purchase price of the car. Not sure what else we could have done to make a bad situation right. This transaction is not at all indicative of the cars that we sell, or how we do business at Driven Automotive.

Traded in my Lexus for a Nissan Altima with a CVT transmission. 1) the check engine light came on within 24 hours of me first taking the altima off the lot. Apparently the whole transmission was giving out even though it had just been "passed" for inspection prior to me picking it up. 2) I wasn't even made aware it had a CVT transmission until after the problems started. 3) I was then informed by the warranty company that my policy was not paid for by the dealer in a timely fashion. In fact my warranty was not valid until a week AFTER I purchased the Altima. In which they explained to me because the problems started before the policy was valid, it was not covered under the warranty. So i was screwed into getting a refund and walking away with no car at all. Forget just buying cars, this was the worst consumer experience of my life!
