O stars. Pretty sure my car was stolen. They gave me a two day window to Virginia from miami. I understand it's a estimated timeframe, what I cannot tolerate is a lack of communication. No one has called me to update me on the status of the car. When I emailed someone asking they responded with "they shall call". When I pressed about the issue they stated I would hear from them tomorrow. Well tomorrow has come and gone. And no word. They are now dodging my calls and emails. So I guess I be filling a police report.
I contacted this company on the 03.12.18 and was quote $1,400 inc gst to transport my car.As the next few days went on I was hounded and pestered by phone to pay the amount up front in full otherwise I wasn't going to get the job done due to the time of year. Out of worry and being pestered significantly I reluctantly paid the mount in full on 13th December after being told that the amount has now gone up to $1650 including gst because it was getting closer to the date. I was not sent any contract or terms and conditions and did not sign anything. (Silly me) Once I had paid IN FULL a few days later I was then called on 17th December and demanded that they collected the car NOW as the "train had come in" and if I wanted it to be delivered on time I would need to give up my car today with the items packed in and ready to go otherwise they couldn't guarantee this would happen. I was not ready to give up my car 10 days earlier than what I had agreed and paid for in full as I had personal commitments all over Christmas which meant I needed my car to drive to family events. I was in the car with my partners mum and my partner who heard the conversation and were very shocked at the level of service not to mention the interrogative manner who were also concerned for me that my personal items would get there or not. I advised the man on the phone I wasn't able to accommodate right now and stuck to my guns and told him again that I had agreed and paid for 27th pick up date and delivery first week of January which is what I still require. The man on the phone reluctantly agreed and ended the call abruptly. On the 20th December my plans changed unexpectedly and therefore I advised aaa transporters immediately. I was told I was not entitled to any kind of refund at all and not offered any kind of solution. Disgusting attitude, treatment and lack of service from start to finish and how they treated me let alone the lack off diligence with the administration, contracts and terms and conditions and now they are keeping 100% off my money for something that I never even used. This doesn't seem fair or right. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I had a great experience shipping my car from MD to FL for the very first time with this company. I found the name of the company from a forum post recommending it online. Price was great. I talked to Chris (the owner?) who acted as a broker to get me in touch with the actual driver. My car was picked up and dropped off in the time range they estimated. The broker collected a portion of the total fee and then the truck driver collected the remaining in cash when it was delivered. Car shipping is a confusing process but I'm glad I found this company which made the ordeal relatively painless. I would recommend them and will use this company again in the future.
I had a great experience with them. They just helped me ship my car from Upstate New York to Portland, Oregon. I was very gun shy at first - I'd never shipped a car before, the broker situation was new to me, and felt really weird. The (very patient) manager talked me thru the pieces, and continued to check in with me throughout the process. My car arrived early (it was wintertime, so that was a huge surprise), and the company communicated with me throughout.
Justin Parkerson was great to work with & easy to contact. That was until my Son's car was damaged by the carrier Comex Carriers. The name of the driver was Carlos. First off, Carlos picked the car up 3-4 hours late on 5-1-17. When he did, he took photo's & my son signed off on the car. Car was supposed to arrive Thursday 5-4 or Friday 5-5 latest. My son calls the driver Friday evening. He was told Carlos would be there with the car between 10-11 pm. Driver actually gets there at 2 am. Son meets him at a not so well lit parking lot to take possession of the car. Son uses phone flashlight to inspect the car. Due to dust & poor lighting conditions he didn't catch the the front section of his 3 piece panoramic sunroof was shattered until 7 am that morning. At that time I called the driver & he tells me I have the wrong number. I verify it's the correct number * redial.... No answer. I sent driver pics no response. I then called Justin at AAA & sent him pictures.... No response. I was able to eventually get a hold of the owner of Comex Carriers & he seemed to be working on taking care of the problem. He said he has not been able to reach his driver for the last 4 days but assured me everything would be okay. He has now too, fell off the face of the Earth. I'm so pissed because my Son is a 19 year old Marine that I feel was taken advantage of. This was his 1st car purchase so of course when they called at 2 am for him to get he car he jumped out of bed to get it. I am 100 percent sure that driver knew my Son's glass was shattered. That's why he was so late & met him in a poorly lit area. SHAME ON AAA Transporters, COMEX TRANSPORTATION LLC, & CARLO's THE DRIVER. I'll be turning this over to our insurance company to pursue them since they won't answer me.
