Website stated that item was in stock. I ordered my item on 03 October 2012 and they charged my credit card right away. I became concerned when the company continued to push back the shipping date. After several calls they, finally, on 16 October 2012, informed me that they no longer have the item -- and added that the item has been discontinued. The rather curt customer service lady apologized and stated that they would credit my card and then sent an email statement to me the next day showing this credit. I wrote a letter to the BBB complaining about this company. A week later I received an email stating that the item I orderd had been shipped AFTER the order was cancelled! What a nightmare. I plan on writing another letter to the BBB.
Poor communication with the staff and they don't know what to do I just wanted to buy work shoes and they didn't have the correct size and they don't know where it is that disorder I can't put zero because there is no zero in the app it's rubbish
I usually read reviews before dealing with a company, and if I had come across the earlier ones here, I probably would have moved on to make a purchase elsewhere. Good thing I didn't! I made a purchase from Silberman's through Amazon, and I have nothing but positive feedback to provide. My item was competitively priced, was shipped and received within 3 days of being ordered, and arrived in excellent condition. I could not be more pleased. I cannot speak for prior person experiences, but as far as i am concerned, I would have no problem or reservation dealing with Silberman's again. As an added bonus they are located in The Bronx, and I am glad to have helped out a local merchant!

The customer service was great. They didnt have a selection just for women, just some unisex items, but the owner said they are working on building an inventory for women which is great. I really like the quality of the BDUs they sell. Will definitely be back to buy them in more colors.
12/05/2014: Placed an order online for (1) pair of work boots (a Christmas gift for my son). 12/08/2014: Received an email stating the order had been processed and a ship date would be provided once scheduled. 12/19/2014: Received an email stating the order was scheduled for shipment on 12/22/2014. 12/23/2014: Received the order (boots) just in time for Christmas. Thank you! Unfortunately, the boots did not fit. I contacted Silbermans by phone and asked how to exchange the boots for a different size. I was told to return the boots to the Bronx, NY address via UPS with a tracking number and include a note inside the box requesting that the boots be exchanged and to include the size that I needed. The boots were delivered and signed for by David at Silbermans, Bronx, NY on 01/07/2015. Four weeks later, still no delivery of the boots that I wanted. It took many, many, many calls to get through to someone in Customer Service. I left messages as instructed when no one was there to take my calls, and no one returned my calls. Gwen in Customer Service works part-time and is only there to take calls 4 hours, M-F. I finally reached Gwen by phone and was told that she would need me to provide the UPS tracking number before she could help me. Beware!!!!! Do not return anything to Silbermans without a tracking number. Luckily, I had one. They do not keep a receiving log, I guess. It was up to me to call Silbermans and ask that the boots be exchanged for another size. Obviously, Dave didnt read the note I was instructed to include with the boots that I wished to exchange them. Once I finally got through to Gwen, she initiated the exchange but it was not processed as Gwen led me to believe. More delay. I was furious!!! Eventually, loosing all confidence in Gwen, I requested to speak to the Supervisor. Eventually, I received a call from Supervisor Darlene. She apologized and told me she would get the boots exchanged or issue me a credit. I was promised a return call from her confirming one or the other. Darlene did not call me back. I received an email instead. 03/06/2015: The boots finally arrived..2 months after I returned them for a different size. Very poor and inadequate Customer Service! I will never order from Silbermans Army and Navy again!
