I thought this place would be great based on the reviews but I was disappointed. The heat in my car stopped working and I took it here to repair it and not only did they not fix the problem, but my car reeked of coolant after they charged me $700 to replace the thermostat and water pump. Then I took it to the dealer to find out what was going on, because obviously I wasn't happy with the results at Higgins. The Chevrolet dealer told me the water pump would need to be replaced again because the part was no good. While the malfunctioning part itself might not have been Higgins' fault, the dealer also told me that the mechanics at Higgins reused bolts that were very obviously for one time only use and this caused the coolant leaks and the malfunctioning water pump. Higgins refunded me for the part but refused to refund me the $100+ or so they charged for labor. I don't think I should have to pay for labor for shoddy workmanship. They insisted they could not refund me for labor because I took it somewhere else to get a second look instead of giving them a second chance. They also insisted it was okay for them to reuse the bolts because they resealed them, but clearly it wasn't because it made the problems worse, caused leaks, and the dealer identified the issues they caused quickly and obviously. I will not be going back.

Multiple visits to another repair shop, an estimate from Mike Anderson Chevy for over $1400 to fix the problem . . . Higgins transmission fixed my problem for under $250 and in one visit. I felt taken advantage of by the other mechanics as well as my own car dealer. I was absolutely taken good care of by Jeannie and her team. I highly recommend this shop and I will use them again.
