Incredibly UNPROFESSIONAL experience. End of June I purchased my first vehicle (used). Everything went fine, but received a check in the mail with vague description and no communication from the dealer in July. First time buying, so assumed there was a miscalculation with the DMV. End of August still hadn't received my license plates. I emailed and got a voicemail several days later telling me there was an issue at the DMV and I would have register the car myself once I fix the violation. I take responsibility for my part in not asking what that check was for, but and the end of the day I paid a lot of cash for this car and they are in the service industry. The least they could've done was followed up with a phone call when they couldn't register my car. With COVID, appointments are at least 3 months out so I called both the dealership and the person who left a voicemail to ask for help and didn't receive a call back. I regret purchasing this car from here. Despite the DMV and communication issue, the car sales man was not sensitive to the fact this was my first car purchase and basically made me feel stupid for valuing KBB. Overall, could've been worse, but I didn't appreciate their ultimatum tactic, scaring me out of looking at other dealers before I decided or else their deal was off the table. It's been almost 2 weeks since I've called for help with my car registration and no help. Please take this feedback and improve for customer service!!!!!!!
Warning! Horrible customer service from the used car department. Bought a used CX-5 in the fall and had to replace all 4 tires within a couple of months. The place we bought the new tires from, very honorable shop with a good reputation, said the car should have never left the lot with the tires that were on the car. When I spoke to the salesman/finance manager to request they pay for some if not all of the new tires I got some bs that tires met the Maryland MV standards, if they did they must have just did barely passed, and that the tires were damaged by driving the car on the streets of Wash DC and we were "oversold" by the tire shop. The refused to pay a dime. My 2 phone calls to the used car manager were never returned. We will NEVER be back not even to have it serviced and we even purchased the Mazda service plan from them. Luckily we can bring it to any Mazda dealership so we will bring it to anyone but Rosenthal Gaithersburg. They also lost a sale for a new CX-9 since my brother in law was going to trade his old one in for a new one but I warned him not to go there.
I got the best bang for my buck. Maynor was my salesman and really helped me buy my first car on my own! I highly recommend these guys to anyone who is considering buying a new car!
Sales department is great! The service department, not so much. They can definitely do better.
