Martha Macker has provided me with the best service I have ever had at Santa Monica Subaru. She makes an extraordinary effort to very quickly take care of any problem a customer has Then, a few days later, I went back to have four new tires and an alignment on my crosstek XV hybrid. I had a repair done in fall 2021, which took about 6 weeks but I understand as parts can take a while to come in these days. Customer service was good when they DID respond, but getting my messages answered was kind of an ordeal. However, when I finally went to pick it up there were a couple things wrong with my car that weren't there when I dropped it off. 1) Firstly, there is a hole in my back seat cushion that wasn't there before. The case technician who was helping me out said it was probably due to a mouse. He sprayed repellant under my car and that was that. I do not know how or where to get the upholstery fixed, and I also don't think it should come out of my pocket since it happened on their watch while my car was in their lot for 6 weeks! 2) Secondly, my steering wheel shakes now when I surpass 60 mph on the freeway. I'm guessing that's an alignment issue, but I now need to go back to get those other things fixed. I also have a good friend who took her car here right before a cross-country road trip. They ended up breaking down in the desert and a local mechanic found that the thermometer had been placed upside-down. The guys here almost totaled her car with that mistake. She advised me not to go to any of the LA Car Guy locations, and I'm starting to worry she was right!
