I have no problem with the brand Mitsubishi. In fact, I would still have my beautiful Eclipse if I had not decided to take it to York for service. This review is strictly limited to the service I received there. Do yourself a favor and get any promises in writing and never proceed without an estimate. My fault I let the service manager tell me she couldn't email out and I let them proceed without getting the facts in writing first. Cost me almost $1500 to learn a valuable lesson - getting scammed by a dealership for simple maintenance is a real thing. Also, when you know things are going down the wrong path, don't be afraid to ask for the parts back that are supposedly replaced during service - and if they insist they can't find them, then ask them to put that in writing; you may need it later for proof.
I had a spare tired installed on our 2020 outlander. While it appears they did a decent job there are no instructions on how to get the tire off and use it. I asked when I picked it up and the lady said well I guess there are tools in the back to allow you to use it. Then she said If you have any questions call us. I already asked a question and it wasn't really answered. Also we asked several people at Mitsubishi in sales and service regarding having luggage rails placed on our roof. At first we were told they could be placed on and would be ordered. Over half of the cars in the lot have them on their roofs. Later they said it can't be done to our car and only cross bars could be ordered. Cross bars in our situation are not adequate as they can't be moved forward and back. I feel misled about purchasing this car and would have made a different decision if the folks in sales and service were more knowledgeable.
