I have to give CAB 1 star due to their recent unprofessional conduct with my friend who I encouraged to foster with CAB. My friend fostered a pup and she told Diane she wanted to adopt him. Diane said there were 5 apps in already for him so my friend could not have him. Normal protocol for CAB is to alert the foster immediately when the first app is received and to let him/her make the decision to "foster fail." Diane threatened my friend and said she would call the cops if she did not surrender the pup. My friend spent her hard earned money on that pup, buying him treats, food and toys and also trained him. She is, undoubtedly, heartbroken that he was taken away from her. I have been a long time advocate of CAB and have sent many friends there to adopt and foster, have attended their events, and donated food, cages, dog beds, etc to them. Moving forward, I will not be supporting this org. with donations or attending events.
After a meet and greet, passing the house inspection, paying/signing contract, consistent positive communication with the foster mom, I received a sudden refund and email saying I cannot adopt an animal because of "recent concerns." Workers would not respond to me when I questioned why this happened. After getting my students and I excited, this unexplainable change came off very unprofessional and rude. I suggest never using this center! It is an unreliable place, full of quite cowardly workers.
