I would highly advise you find another law firm if you have any complexity to your case. And if you do have an open and shut case in your favor,but still dont have any money for a lawyer, your always better off selling some jewlery or pawning your Gibson and spending a little money on a lawyer that will get you back what you sold/pawned/borrowed and then some.

Emailed BABL through their website and Michael Stephenson called me directly later that day. I was able to speak with him the next day and he offered great advice (for free) on my insurance claim that has been pending for over 4 months now. I will update this review as I get farther along in the process. If you are seriously injured in a bicycle accident and need surgery and will incur lost wages, you need to contact BABL immediately. For other less severe accidents, their free consultation is awesome and will help you get started with the process. I should have contacted Michael two months ago. With the advice he has given me I can hopefully get this claim process moving forward. UPDATE - Michael gave me a template to complete a claim letter to submit to the insurance companies. Within days of submission I received my property damage settlement. It took another 10 days but I also received an offer for my bodily injury settlement. Michael's advice was just awesome and I would not hesitate to contact him if you need legal counsel for a bike accident.

I was doored by a passenger exiting an Lyft without warning. My injuries were not life-threatening but it was about 8 - 10 weeks before I was quite over it. Luckily the police and paramedics were there almost immediately and the police (I discovered later) filed a police report that rightly put opening a car door into traffic as being the cause. I contacted Bay Area Bicycle Law to see if I could get some compensation for something that had banged me up quite badly, and they were wonderful! Kyle and all of the other people I worked with there were easy to work with, made time for me, kept me informed, and eventually got me a reasonable settlement. Very satisfied. I hope I never need them again, but if I should I wouldn't hesitate to contact them.

Michelle Weiss took over my case after the insurance gave me the run around, kept loosing my papers, 4 different adjusters. I was injured and in trouble!
