Went here, out of network, to deliver my son in September 2018. They only offered Tylenol and Advil after my birth with a 2nd degree episiotomy. As I was being sewn up I recall the one who was sewing asked if "this would stay" while the other woman looking over her shoulder rolled her eyes and firmly said "YES!" I had to go to my OB a few days later for silver nitrate to treat the wound. A day after that I went to my local hospital for proper pain medication. I get that the US has been over prescribing pain meds, but after giving birth without it I can safely say it is needed for the few days after. I was under the impression that Advil/Tylenol was just what everyone was receiving until a couple of my friends informed me that was not the case for their deliveries.

Amanda K is an angel to me. She is the reason they say nurses are angels. She was really so professional, hardworking and caring. Dr Peoples is wonderful. She knows her Onion. Her expertise is out of the world. I will not forget Nurse Ciara, Julia, Olivia and other staff who went extra mile to ensure safe delivery. Thank you. God will reward you all.
We had our our son here last week. Overall the experience here was great! Due to timing our original doctor wasn't able to deliver, but I will say overall there is a great team of caring nurses and doctors that took good care of my wife and delivered my son. There were only one or two nurses we really didn't like due to their harsh bedside manner, but given the number of nurses we interacted with over those 5 days I feel they were a minority. Our induction didn't go as planned, but looking back we are confident they did everything they could to try for a natural birth first before telling us we had to have a cesarean. I feel they always provided us options instead of trying to dictate or influence our choices which was great. I think our only gripe was that two particular nurses bruised up my wife's arm trying to get the IV in. They tried three times and couldn't get it in different spots, and the second nurse was actually joking about it while she was bruising my wife's arm. I don't consider this a major issue against the hospital though... I'd only ask that they review this process with their nurses to ensure they're more careful.

I was given a tour of this place a couple weeks ago and this made me excited to deliver here. The nurse who showed me the place was pretty nice and thorough. I left feeling relieved from nervousness of the unknown with this being my first baby. I am due in January but after reading some of the reviews I am kind of scared to go here. The pain and emotion women go through during pregnancy, labor and birth needs to be carefully and positively supported with caring, respectful and accommodating staff. I really feel insecure at the thought of being treated poorly or put on the back burner during my L&D of my first baby. Please give your staff sensitivity training and hire positive & friendly people ONLY. This can make a huge difference in someone's life. This should be a time to remember for its beauty and joy. I'd hate to leave thinking "I'll never go to United again, they robbed me of my joy" like the woman said in her review a month ago. I'm so sorry to that poor woman. I wish her experience was better. As it should've been. Dear United, PLEASE reassure me that you will do your job respectfully so I don't have to fear my delivery with your staff. -Kelsey Lynch
