The display is small and it costs extra to watch their 3d movie. The way they present science is dry. I was expecting Exploratorium level but it was not even close. We went in for half an hour and left out of boredom. My kids are 2 and 4. Maybe older kids would enjoy it more but really there is not much to do except various wind tunnels. The location is beautiful though. This is just my honest opinion.
It's closed until Oct 11. There's no sign except on the door, so if you've already paid for parking you're out of luck. No restrooms available while closed, and no signs of where to go, so tricky if you've got kids. Seems a little unfriendly.
This place makes everyone feel like a kid. You will be amazed my the sheer size of Lawrence Hall. The exhibits are engaging and it is a great place on a rainy day. They also run fun camps for afterschool, in the summer and school holidays. Check out the gift shop really fun science kits to take home. My daughter and always enjoyed this wonderful place.
I took my niece (2 yes old) and nephew (4 yrs old) yesterday and was very disappointed by the lack of activities they had. They charged an extra $4/person for a boring dinosaur movie. Definitely not worth the admission of $20/person.
