Hi Friends, I want to share my terrifying experience at Glendale Infiniti dealer today. I was looking for a minivan on auto dealer and car guru website and saw their minivan priced $23,495 on internet. Like any customer I called and asked if they can give a better price. A sales guy introduced himself as Luis Ortiz asked me, what was my budget. I said I had $20,000. He said NO. Then I said, I can offer $21000. He then asked me to pay $21599 and a total of $23878. The difference ($2279), he said it was tax. I thought tax is a state fund, which we all contribute and I said ok, I ll bring a check. Then he jacked the price to $22599 (excluding tax), if I pay cash. I had enough and I said m not buying. After a while, he said, he convinced his manager and I can take it for $23878 and that he wants cashers check. I went to the bank and made a cashers check of $23878 and reached Sacramento bus stop at 7:00AM. I traveled eight hours to LA and hitched a cab from downtown LA and made to their office at 3:45PM. The guy named Luis came and showed me the minivan and I took a test drive. He asked me, if I liked it. I gave my honest answer, yes I liked it. Then he went inside and came back and said he wants $1000 more or he will not sell the car. I was absolutely shocked and in utter disbelief. I never thought that will happen, not even in my wildest dream. I didn't have additional $1000 and when he saw that I couldn't pay that much, he reduced to $500. He told me to sit and think and treated just like any prosecutor treats criminal to confess the crime. I didn't know what to do. I was 400 miles away from home in a strange city and didn't prepare for anything like this scenario. He then came back with his manager and said, are you ready to pay? I said I have no cash left. Then he told me to finance with them or use my credit card. I told him, I can't afford that additional money. He then threw back my $23878 casher check that he told me to bring and opened the door, showing me the way out. My cell phone battery was dying, it was almost dark and I felt the cold air gushing in. I have no where to go and was completely screwed. The only way out for me was to accept his brunt, and make home safely. I paid that additional $500 with credit card and ran home. Friends, if you have humanity, please never buy car from this place. Even if you do window shopping, take someone with you so that you will not be helpless like me. For me, I may heal the additional financial charges, but the scars of humiliation, embarrassment and mental torture will remain for the rest of my life.
