Quiet trail and view point. Good place for quick stop for tea or coffee. Gravel road to the parking. Not many parking spaces.

Its was a nice hike. I brought my two oldest who are 5 and 6 I dont suggest bringing younger children. Its quite some distance to get towards the cliff walking from the bottom where you park to the scenic view.

One free bucket of firewood gets you started. Very friendly staff and beautiful grounds with some nice views (Bears Den Overlook) and trails (mostly shorter) that connect up to the AT. Primitive camp sites 2-5 seem more flat than number 1 which we stayed at. They were all much closer together than we realized as there we no actual pictures of the Primitive campsites beforehand either on their website or hipcamp and the Google aerial view didn't do them justice. Number 1 was also really close to the shelter. Either way, privvys are close, nice fire ring, and the trail connection is literally right next to you. Really enjoyed going back home through Skyline Dr.
