I have loved FERRARA for 40 years.I ordered 5 slices of chocolate truffle cake,and 5lobstors claws.we Play poker every week.Usually they Go quickly.This time,nothing.After I took a bite,I realized the reason.It WAS bland,and not enjoyable.As IF no Cocoa powder used.There WAS some ganashe there,but not enough to MAKE a difference.As a disabled SENIOR citizen,I have to be carefull with money,and you charge 7.50$ for cake each..MY friends want ME to buy FROM VENERIOS,but I Will give it ONE more time. Had high expectations that were not met. The pastry on the lobster tail was too thick and the cream was too thick as well in addition to being flavorless; very angering, as I am a lobster tail connoisseur. The cannoli are not filled to order, resulting in a soggy shell. The filling was too smooth.

Stopped by for a quick dessert and break while walking around Little Italy on a Friday afternoon. There was plenty of seating available, so was seated right away. If you want to place a takeout order, you can just walk right up to the dessert cases on the left. After going back and forth to the display cases to help decide, ordered a Cannoli, Strawberry Cheesecake, Fruit Tart, Sfogliatella, and Gelato. Since everything is already made, everything came within a few minutes. All were great, but my favorites were the Cheesecake and Cannoli. The Cheesecake had a nice creamy taste topped with fresh strawberries. The Cannoli had a nice crispy shell with a sweet, creamy ricotta cheese filling. The fruit tart and gelato were equally as good. I wish I had more room to try the other desserts as everything looked great in the case.
