These guys totally screwed me with an appointment. Each time i called it was a different person answering the call. I was on a tight schedule to meet with a doctor. They clearly confirmed an appointment and finally just mentioned i don't see your name and we cant help. When its their mistake of missing the name, they have to be responsible for it.
I have to give my experience here 3 stars, although I will never be returning. One star for the fact that they take my insurance, which apparently not many optometrists do in this city. Another because I called right when they opened and asked for an appointment *today* and was scheduled for just an hour and a half later. And a final star for the swift service and care Dr Hsu took when addressing my concerns and examining my eyes. All brilliant. What kills my experience with Vision Plus was what happened after I received my script. The lady who helped check me in was assigned to help me find a frame I like. She was so pushy, at one point I literally had three frames in my hands and another on my face. Now, I have to wear glasses all the time. I want to look professional and have my frames reflect my personality and suit my face and style, obviously. Most people do. However, I didn't have a chance to browse my options at all. It made me very anxious. Not only that, but my fiancé was there to help me make a final decision too. He is the one who looks at my face most often and so is the best person to help me decide what looks best. This lady berated him, constantly making snide remarks about a "man's opinion" and how he didn't know what he was talking about when it came to my frames. And then she had the audacity while ringing me up to remark on my engagement ring, how it was so small and simple! Excuse me?! I cannot explain how this made me and my future husband feel. I actually cried driving home before deciding to turn around and cancel my purchase. Never again.
Dr. Hsu and his staff were kind, caring, and professional. The office was very clean and they obviously invest in the newest technology. I had a Neurolens consultation with Dr. Hsu a couple weeks ago. I have struggled with migraines and vertigo for many years and had read that he offered a specialized type of lens for these conditions. His instrument detected an abnormality in the way my eyes work together that could have been causing my symptoms. Dr. Hsu prescribed the Neurolens eyeglasses to me, and although he made no promises, he was hopeful that they would alleviate my symptoms. I have been wearing the lenses while at work for the last 2 weeks and after only a few days my dizzy spells were 99% gone. I am speechless. I have struggled with this disorder for nearly a decade and to finally have it under control literally brings me to tears. I realize that this sounds like a canned testimonial, but I don't know how else to explain how well these lenses worked for me. They have literally changed my life and I am so grateful.
Worst experience. When I did the prescription, the staff told me I could come back with my own frame any time. Then I went back today, the same staff told me its appointment only for those bringing their own frame.. the doctors are great but staffs are horrible. They just want to make money.
