Platinum did a poor job of replacing my wife's windshield on her 3 yr old Subaru. We were not impressed with how they kept messing up the appt day and time of the replacement. We were underwhelmed with how they dealt with the insurance claim and communication with us about it. And most of all, the gal who looked over our car before they replaced the windshield pointed out a small smudge on the inside passenger side pillar near the top. But when my wife brought the car home there are now smudges all over both side pillars, and I'm pretty sure it's glue or adhesive and it's not going to come out. I would never recommend Platinum to anyone, even though one of my wife's co-workers had a good experience there. I've had WAY better service and experiences with Nicolet Glass over the 3+ decades I've been in Redding. And Nicolet offers free chip repairs with a windshield replacement. I don't see that on the paperwork with Platinum. We felt stuck using Platinum because they deal with calibrating the eyesight on a Subaru. Next time I would just take it to the dealer for that instead.
Rude. Talked to me like I was stupid or something. Took my business elsewhere. If you don't want to do customer service right, then don't try running a business. I'm anything but a difficult customer, so I don't understand how it could be so terribly difficult to keep a civilized tone with a potential customer. I've spent enough time behind a register and on the phone, to know how to treat people, even the belligerent and the dumb, and I was certainly neither of those.
