We bought a minivan here. The purchase itself went well. However, after the purchase they emailed us to fill out a post purchasing survey and requested we give them 5 stars if we appreciated their service. After a few emails, the sales manager directly called me and asked us to fill out the survey while offering a fuel or Amazon rewards card as compensation. So I took them up on that offer. After completing the survey I had emailed back the sales manager asking for the reward card only to be ghosted. Tried leaving voice messages as well as additional emails to our sales associate and another manager, and all of a sudden their helpful and attentive service went to complete silence. Very bait and switch of them. EDIT: 8/15/2022 - They called me back after this review was posted and made right by sending me the reward card. They mentioned the confusion was due to the turnover of their sales team. I have since rated them 3 stars (up from 2) since they made things right, but the onus was still on them since the manager was in the email chain the entire time.

Hi Tony, I was able to research your concern and would like to apologize for the delay. We were able to find the cause of the oil leak and completed the repair, the delay was caused because of a payment issue by the third party who claimed responsibility for oil leak. I'm sorry if this was not communicated during the repair process. We're working hard to make our service better and I appreciate your feedback. One of our key goals is to keep customers more informed of any delays that are outside of our control. McKevitt's had my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo in for an oil leak. McKevitt's had it for seven days offering a poor diagnostic and putcome of just an oil change. $270.00 for seven days, pluss time off work for the vorrection to ne an "oil change"! You reap what you sow.

After shopping the market for medium to small SUVs, such as Subaru Outback and Forrester, I recently purchased a new 2020 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 (LimitedHigh Altitude) from McKevitt Jeep dealership in Berkeley. I worked with salesman Justin Null and managers Yunuss Isaaq and Mo. Because I commute often to a home up the Kingsbury Grade in Nevada near Heavenly, I preferred the Jeeps true 4x4 with real transmission gears to the Subarus all-wheel drive and CVT transmission. My review of articles complaining about the reliability and repair history of continuously variable transmissions (belts or chains instead of gears) persuaded me that the primary advantage of this technology is augmented gas mileage, not superior driving performance and repair reliability. Also, Im more comfortable with Jeeps interior layout because Ive come to enjoy my experience over the last couple of years in my husbands 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 (Trailhawk). I found the negotiating process minimally anxiety-provoking. I did not experience a hard sell from Justin, who sought to close a sale using enhanced incentives. I especially appreciate the service I received after the sale. I found a failure in the Sirius/XM OnGuard communication system, and received the run-around from the two sets of customer service at Guardian and Uconnect, each of whom literally said: Its not us, its them, were not allowed to help you with that service. When I returned with the vehicle, the management, sales, and service departments at McKevitt did not delay in ameliorating the problem and apologized for not having discovered the problem in the pre-delivery detailing and inspection, which included filling up the gas tank (unique in my long experience with car dealerships). Some days later, I remain very pleased with my purchase, and look forward to receiving years of continued good service on the extended maintenance and warranty I purchased.

After countless hours of research and searching for a vehicle that fits my needs, I came into this dealership after a few other dealership that didn't know their product. Brought my SRT in with a stall at idle issue. They plugged in a code reader. Didn't see any codes that were related, so they had me pick it up and charged me $200. Car still had the same issue. After doing some research, I found a bad intake temp sensor. No grommet, broken housing. Had the tech bothered to open the hood he would have seen it. After telling the manager, he basically told me "tough luck". Made it clear he didn't care about me, my car or my business. If you're having mechanical issues, take your car elsewhere. Unless you feel good about flushing your money down the toilet.
