Called them based on a recommendation when my car keys were stolen along with my purse so I couldnt get into my vehicle. Asked about payment when I called, since all my credit cards were stolen as well, and was told cash or credit only. Im also told that even though they close hours from now, I need to tell them in the next ten minutes if I want the service or it wont be possible that day. And its $200 extra because they have to come to me to open the car (on top of the $195) for making and programming the key. Ok, I get a friend to use their credit card and call them back so I can have it happen that day. The guys who come out are pleasant enough. Takes a little time (it seemed like one may have been training the other, but thats ok, I work retail, I understand). At the end of it they ask for payment and when I hand them the credit card Im told that its an additional fee to use a credit card! There goes another $12, which they didnt mention when I asked about payment on the phone. Ok whatever, its 2020, this is par for the course at this point. When they tell me theyve reprogrammed the vehicle so the old keys wont work (good as a safeguard just in case the thief comes back) I say ok thanks, and ask what I would need to do if I get one of the original keys back. The tech laughs and tells me I would bring it to them and theyd reprogram it. Ok, so luck has it that the next day my spare is found dumped with some of the purse contents. Great! Now I just have to reprogram it. So I call a few places for price quotes, and then call these guys again at the end - figured it was worth a second shot. All the other three places just asked make/model and if its a push start or not, and gave me the pricing info. This place - the guy answering the phone aggressively says why would you need to reprogram your key?! If its programmed it SHOULD work! Im taken aback but calmly start telling him what happened, at which point he actually cuts me off and gives me his price - which is the second highest of all the places Ive called. Two strikes, youre out. Bad customer service from your dispatch/phone answerers and sketchy business practice not to divulge the credit card charge. Say nothing about your pricing.
You're welcome Eric, thanks for the 5 star review.

Fast and easy service!! No one could fix my smart key and they were able to! And trust me I went everywhere! I got out the door under 45 bucks and I got a smart key repaired and a transponder! Thank you guys so much! Go here before you go to the dealership!
thanks again for the opportunity to help you with your problem lets clear up the confusion cars are produced in half years and even if year make and model are perfect it can be many different outcomes from phone to our front door when customers arrive each car is re evaluated for accuracy the key you arrived with was a perfect key to the consumer in the eyes of a trained locksmith the key is put threw a reader to find out the electronics reading your key was determined it was locked and could not be rewritten as they do at home depot if your part was in a virgin state as we call it we would have been able to do it you purchased a key that is standard for all Toyota systems when the original computer is flashed and is looking for keys with a original value ask yourself did we explain ourselves correctly sorry if our explanation was not clear to you having showed up at our doors we gave you the expertise we offer to our customers that we extend to any one who is in need

I called to ask about a service, and was told both that 1.) they can do it and 2.) they'd charge me $45. I drove there, and they confirmed the details that I had given them over the phone, and then they said, "We're not sure that we can do it," and asked me to wait while they looked up the details that I had given them before and came back and said, "We can try to do it. If it doesn't work, we won't charge you. If it does, that will be $75." I said, "no thanks."
