Mitch, I have never promised 500 wheel hp on a 5.7 ls1, EVER! We make 400 wheel with the automatic and with a 20% loss that is 500 CRANK. I still have the estimate and invoice to prove what was quoted. Those are the same numbers i quote to this day. . Also, you purchased our 62 drag car with a 440 that had been running 10.0 1/4 mile times for years. 60 days later, after many passes, a frost plug leaked and we found the block had cracked and I replaced it and rebuilt it for FREE! You seem to get the facts completely wrong. I still have the title card to the 62 and when the guy called that you sold it to I told him it was $2200. You told him i would give him the title card after you did not pay the bill on the Camaro? Given the fact that it has been over 10 years since we did both cars it is amazing that now you have an issue? Perhaps it is because you and your dad drove off without paying your bill? You and your dad are whining, lying cheats. Your dad has passed and that is good with me. Proving there is Karma. You want to make good on the last $2200 of the bill you drove off without paying? I doubt it. I work on 500-700 cars per year. As in any business there is always a few cheats. You and your dad are dishonest and i am sure you have screwed other business's. My Dad and I had work done at Hitech years ago on my dads 2002 camaro z28. Bart told us to do all these things to the car a list a mile long at the tune of over $13,000 and the car would run 11 seconds flat or faster and would do wheelies. After months of having the car we got it back. The fastest that the car ran was 12.1 seconds. Which is only 1 second faster then when we brought it to him in the first place. Promised 500 rear wheel HP and it only made 400. Then we questioned Bart about it and he just said I never said that. Or I never told you your car would run 11 flat. He takes all your money and leaves you high and dry. He took my dads car which he bought brand new and made it a pos that my dad turned and sold for 9800 because he hated the car after Bart did the shafty work to it. Bart is a huge lier and cheat. All he want is money and thats it. He has a problem taking your money and leaving you with nothing he promises. This shop is a joke. I looked online to see if they were still in business and to my disbelief they are. Im shocked that they can keep screwing people and they get away with it. All I can tell you is make sure you get everything in writing with this place because if you dont you will not get anything that is promised to you. My dad also bought a car from Bart. Bart had to rebuild the motor on it twice because it blew up. In total my Dad spent a little over $40,000 in this so called race shop. This was a big waist of money and time and emotions. Made my dad hate anything about cars after this experience. My dad passed away about 3 years after Bart took all his money and his love for cars like it was nothing so I am writing this review for my old man may he RIP! A message to Bart please quit screwing people its not right. You will have to answer one day to all your lies and sins. You remember that the next time you talk with a customer and promise the world and deliver nothing as you cash there checks with out looking back. You should be ashamed of yourself as a man, lying and cheating people out of thousands of dollars. But one day it will all catch up to you. Bart I have all the paper work and pictures and even video from rockfalls raceway of you and Brian trying to make the car run 11sec flat. You can hear Brian saying the car is never going to run 11 with this set up and thats what you told us. You didnt get your last 2200 because that was for a brand new moser faulty rear end you installed that you put gears in to try and fix the problem that then made the problem worse so you wanted to replace the rear end then told us that we owed you another 2200. Your work has no warranty?? That tells you right there what kind of operation you run. You got 40k of mine and my dads money you screwed us for plenty Bart! The race car had a one race year warranty with it per your offer. The engin blew after 60 days how many passes can you have in 60 days. Then you fixed it and your incompetent mechanics dropped the air cleaner nut down the carb and you had to take the motor back apart to get it out. That whole thing took you almost the rest of the race season to fix. Only ran the car a few more passes and it blew up again. Had to take it to another shop to rebuild the motor. The shop told us he wasnt surprised that it blew and that he has rebuilt several of hitech motor spots engines. Anyways one day everything will catch up to you. I work for a large corporation and deal with million dollar clients all day and have been within this company for 10 years if I was a lier and a cheat I would have been out of a job a long time ago. For anyone that wants or needs proof of what Im saying they can reach out to me and I can show them everything that I have on my experience with hitech motorsports. In your response to my post people can tell what kind of person you are saying nasty thing about someone who has passed away and cant defend themselves. You are a heartless person a lie and a cheat. From all the reviews I have read online we were not the only people you screwed out of thousands of dollars.

Mr. Smith, I have never worked on a car for you or given you an estimate. There is nothing in my data files to suggest you were ever here. If you send me a copy of your invoice i will review it and make a refund to you. It floors me that my competitors or individuals that have not had work done here continue to give me fake low reviews. We service and dyno approximately 700 cars per year. I will contact google about these fake reviews again. Bart. I do remember working on a green duster 2 years ago that was an ebay scam car. Pretty on the outside and nothing but defective parts inside. The carb leaked around the throttle shaft seals and internally. it would not idle below 1000 rpm. The transmission slipped in 3rd gear under load. The spark plugs were fouled, cold racing plugs that we replaced. The spark plug wires were melted at the ends and we fixed those. The distributor had cap and rotor issues. The transmission fluid was burned and a change would not help that issue. I gave you a list of the issues and allowed you to leave the car here, inside, for 3 weeks because of your financial hardship. I charged you a minimal amount and your wife came and got the car. I even helped her load it up. The number you have does not come up in my computer. If this is your car, I hope you survived the wrath of your wife and I wonder why it took 2 years to comment????

Worst experience ever. Will B.S. you like he cares, then screw you over. Would not recommend this shop to my enemy. NOT FAKE! I brought my green 73 Duster in to get carb fixed or replaced then get dyno. Had to call numerous times with no return call. Finally told that I needed a new transmission! What? Quoted $3000 plus install! Told I wouldn't even be able to drive it home. Had it flat bedded home, then to a professional transmission shop. Was told that the transmission was strong and needed nothing. Had tranny shop also tune my carb. Wasn't perfect, but ran good enough until I could get it replaced. To say it never happened is just another lie! The quote # is 1-808853! I don't have the original bill, but I never should have been charged for work that was never done! Nothing was fixed, and no dyno! On top of it I had to pay for 2 unnecessary tows and a complete tear down of my tranny that was never needed! Either this was a complete fraud, or absolute incompetence. Either way, I had to eat the bill. When I found them, I was looking forward to doing a lot of buisness with them, but I just have no reason to trust them! To say they have no record of me just adds to my point of incompetence. To say they never worked on my car, I believe it. THAT WAS MY POINT! Didn't stop them from taking my money though.

Rick, I refused to work on your jeep as it was a piece of junk when you brought it to Hitech. It had over 300,000 miles on it , holes all over from rust, most of the gauges did not work and the engine was built by a shop with a poor reputation. You told me you wanted to hook up a 5000# travel trailer, put your family in it and go to a jeep jamboree in the rocky mountains. I told you it was a bad idea and you admitted that in court. You managed to get the jeep on the dyno at my shop by hiring another tuning shop to check it out. When it was on the dyno it ran on only six of 8 cylinders and could hardly pull itself. The tuning shop was not capable of engine work so they forced it on me. I again told you it was not a responsible move to put your family in your beater jeep and go to the mountains. You told me it was " a jeep thing and i just would not understand" I think it was more of a "piece of crap thing" and no, I don't understand. We found YOU adjusted the rocker arms incorrectly and had been driving the truck with the valves hung open causing possible damage. You told me you had to leave in 48 hours for the family trip and do whatever we had to to get the truck running. After fixing the rocker arms, replacing the fouled spark plugs and a bunch of other items, we attempted to time the truck. The timing would jump all over the place so the distributor cap was removed to find that at your cheap rebuild they did not replace the distributor with 300,000 miles on it and it was worn out. You wanted to purchase a new distributor yourself to save some money on parts, so that's what you did. However you still needed to leave in 48 hours on the family trip. I waited for the distributor, but by noon I was running out of time to make your deadline. I chose to take one of my new distributors for a gm apart and pull all the bearings out of it and replace your worn bearings and other parts in your old distributor. This took over 2 hours and you were not billed for the time or the parts. After the distributor was rebuilt i got it on the dyno and did the final tune. The carburetor was correctly jetted and the timing set. You were also given several sets of high altitude jets for mountain use. You drove off with the truck working properly and I did not hear from you. I did here from the tuning shop that you had issues in Nebraska with the distributor turning and that you had to reset it. Now, lets bare the facts about the subsequent credit card charge backs and court case. You contacted your credit card company and had them charge back the card for defective work. After I submitted all the documents about your truck and what Hitech did the credit card company refused to allow the charge back. You then went to small claims court where the judge allowed you the cost of the distributor you sent in and $75 in filing fees, in essence you lost again. You then vacated the small claims court judgement and went to district court. Hitech is a corporation and has to have an attorney at district court. The continuance was not a delay, rather a time conflict for my attorney. AFTER BEING SERVED BY MY ATTORNEY YOU DID NOT SHOW UP FOR DISTRICT COURT. You have been served with the final court documents dismissing the case with prejudice and ALSO AN ORDER FOR COSTS AND ATTORNEYS FEES. I guess it is a jeep thing and i just don't understand.

If I could give a negative star review, I would. I had my jeep in there last year for a dyno tune before another long family vacation. Bart determined that I needed a new distributor because my existing shaft was bent. I order the only he said to from summit and had it overnighter. 3 days later, he said it was done and running perfect. Needless to say shortly into my trip I had severe problems. Instead of replacing the distributor with the one he had me order, he replaced the cap of my existing one and sent me on my way. He charged me $1200 for setting me up for failure. I've been trying to settle this in court, but he is constantly asking for a continuance. He is just a shady person overall and doesn't care about screwing over people.
