I wish I had half the experience of the other reviews on this page. I retained AJ Fowinkle last year to handle my divorce case, the office as well as himself were very unresponsive in my concerns and I had to resend documents over and over again for them to remember what was going on. I considered firing them then and instead I made a bad choice of not doing it. This year I had a custody battle issue and against my better judgment decided to hire them again because they had all the paperwork already from the case as well as the parenting plan. That Turned out to be another bad choice on my part. The case is still not completely settled I have no idea whats going on and the office as well as AJ are unresponsive. I have a lot of money invested in this law firm And once you do its hard to walk and find somebody else. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!!!
Do not recommend for custody cases. Kept getting pushed to an Associate Attorney who did not have all the facts and had poor follow up which ended up costing more money on our end. Spent about $15k dollars and could not afford it anymore. Did not finalize custody case with this firm.
Mr. Marks is a true professional - a distinguished man, he is knowledgeable and ready to make a difference in the lives of all he touches. His caring nature is visible from the first time you meet him. Everyone in his office is so attentive and kind. I would recommend to anyone!
I am so grateful for The Marks Law Firm. Through my divorce proceedings they were a great balance of being kind and understanding while also giving me the truth of the reality legal system. Everyone I enteracted with at The Marks Law Firm was gracious and supportive. I knew I had a team of people who were on my side. I was also grateful to find a Christian lawyer in Mr. Marks; who supported me as a believer through a process that I never expected myself to be in.
My experience was very different than the others. I used one of their newer attorneys for my family law matter. I was told that my case strategy would be one way, and as soon as I paid the retainer, I felt like the goal was simply to bleed my retainer each month. On my very first billing statement, I was literally charged for "labeling files". I paid several thousand dollars and during that time, only spoke to my attorney for 11 minutes. After a couple of months, I had to fire this firm and hire another. Best decision I could have made was to hire another firm.
