I would give 0 stars if I could. They put a dent in my door and not willing to be considerate. My mistake was I did not notice it in shop. I am pretty sure it was not there before as I know my car. Met with standard response that we can't say that we put it there, it might have happened after you drove it etc. Overall I have had a very bad experience. I would recommend anyone not to go there. I should have gone with the cosmetic collision center which is nearby and looked more professional from the outset.
First and most importantly when posting a review for a business, it's important and fair to be accurate and tell the complete story. Mr. Czepizak you brought your vehicle in for repairs 2 years ago (August 2018). At that time we replaced your A/C Condenser amongst a few other parts. You said in the past you needed to bring your vehicle back here a couple times for an A/C issue. The tech at the time added freon to your car which according to you resolved the issue. You called a few weeks ago and again mentioned your A/C was not working. I asked you to bring it in so my Senior Tech could diagnose and possibly resolve the issue once and for all. My tech diagnosed that the A/C Compressor had failed. Schaeffer Auto did not charge you for this diagnosis. I recommended at that time to contact the insurance company that was responsible for paying for the prior damages to see if they could relate the A/C Compressor to your original accident/claim. After you picked up your vehicle from us your brought it to a Nissan dealer that confirmed your A/C Compressor had failed. The insurance company decided that the A/C Compressor was not related to your original accident/claim and denied paying for the repairs. I'm sure this was frustrating to say the least for you. According to your review, you sound to be blaming Schaeffer Auto for this unfortunate situation. Horrible Service wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy, had insurance claim & they tried fixing my AC for the last 3 years, eventually had to pay out of my own pocket to get it repaired.
Unfortunately there guys cut corners and taped around trim instead of removing it like in the quote. I noticed it on the side of my bed and they fixed it. Then I noticed it on my door and the lady had an attitude with me. She told me it will take an hour to fix, however the right way would be to remove the door handle, trim mirror and emblem then repaint and reinstall all that like it was noted on my estimate and the insurance paid for that to be done. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND POOR RECEPTIONIST
