I called trying to get an inquiry about what benefits my insurance covered. It was through my medical insurance so it was a little bit more difficult to look up. The lady that I spoke to was very rude to begin with - she told me that with my insurance it only covered exams and contact lenses (I wanted glasses). I then called over to United health care to check on my benefits, they did state that I was fully covered for exams, glasses, and lenses and they showed in their system that 'Look Optical' was a full service provider. Thinking that it may have been a mistake, I decide to call back to check again. I get the same lady, and she was even more rude that before, she yells on the phone that "I already spoke to you and I told you that we do not accept your insurance for glasses" I kindly told her that I called over to my insurance and explained to them what they told me. She still proceeded to yell over the phone and just state the same thing over and over again. I then asked her that UHC stated if I had any issues that they could get in contact with them directly - she told me that they had no interest in calling them because regardless it was not going to be approved. I then asked to speak to her manager because she was not offering to help me, she asked me how she was not willing to help and I respond with I asked her numerous times kindly to call over and help me understand, and even if they still were not able to get me the glasses through insurance at least update their company with UHC so it did not show as a full provider. She then hangs up the phone. I decide to call back again, furious, and she answers and I ask, again, to speak to her manager, she proceeds to tell me that their "manager" is on vacation and the "person in charge" was on lunch. I got her name, Cynthia, and just told her I would be calling back later to file a complaint. The funny thing about all of this is I had not even been into the store yet and already experienced one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I will never, ever be going here for my vision purposes.
