Horrible installation! Will never go back. Charged $100 to install head unit I provided with factory double DIN mounting bracket and didn't even put all the bolts in to hold it and broke off tabs. Not a proper install at all. The unit is terribly crooked and looks absolutely silly! They claimed that it was because I bought the wrong bracket! I fully removed the bracket, installed it CORRECTLY, and nothing was crooked! It won't stay in place though because they BROKE the plastic tabs off of it in their attempt to mount it incorrectly! Total waste of money and damage of my property. This business does poor work and does not warrant or guarantee what they do. My advice is to not give them your business.

The shipping policy is noted on our site and it is a pop up on our checkout page prior to any purchases, https://www.soundoftristate.com/shipping-policies We have had issues with fraud, and fraudulent hold for pick ups at ups destinations across the country. This policy is in place to protect you from having your identity stolen and purchases made in your name. A $900 package will not just be left at your doorstep, and, no sorry per your bank, we cannot hold packages for pick ups as we've had issues with charge-backs when not delivered to the address specified by the bank. In other words, if you hold for pick up the destination address is the ups store, not the address on your card. We appreciate your understanding, its to protect you as well as us from fraud.

Ordering from this company was nothing but frustration. I ordered a $900 stereo from Sound of Tri-State and was not informed that the item would be shipped signutere required. The issue is that I work till 10pm and can't be there to sign. Tried contacting UPS to have the stereo dropped off at a UPS drop off center so I can pick it up but UPS stated that SoTS had to change the drop off location and I couldn't do it as tge custome. Contacted SoTS and they told me that they could not change the location to a UPS drop off center. Contacted UPS again and UPS stated that SoTS could change the location as UPS has a contract with SoTS. Contacted SoTS again, and was told by shipping that they could change the location but would not because gheire a small business and worried about fraud. This is BS. Now I have $900 tied up in some company for the next 2 weeks because they refuse to help those who try to support them by making big purchases. Should have just ordered from Cruchfield. At t least Cruchfield is willing to work with their customers, and I wouldn't have had to deal with this. Customer support sucks and is non existent when they say that they can change the location to a drop off center, but won't.

I bought my from amazon via tristate .I had issue with original as soon I had installed call immediately and they said they would send replacement came in but wire harness did not work from the original called again sent me the right wire harness. Basically online customer service is awesome they will do what they need to do to get it right

Leon - Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. To address your concerns, You had called the store to get an estimate on running wires without hooking up the amp that you had in your possession. Estimate, over the phone without seeing what you had or the vehicle you were wanting the install in, given was for running basic wires for the amplifier. We gave you a general price for only wiring up the vehicle as you requested. Unfortunately, when you called you didn't tell us you had 1 gauge wire and a factory stereo (which factory stereos do not come with the RCA's for an amplifier so they have to be added to the factory stereo in the form of a hi low adapter). When you came in, you brought with you the larger, thicker 1 gauge amp wiring kit with a hi low converter to be installed, not just wiring up a normal amp install as described over the phone. This is a much more in depth installation than you lead us to believe over the phone. There is a lot more work and labor involved in running the thicker 1ga wiring with the hi low adapter for a factory stereo, because of the size of the wiring and the fact that you have to also add a hi low adapter as well. We explained that to you in full detail along with the fact that you had noise canceling mics front and rear that needed to be disconnected as well. Please understand that without looking at the vehicle and simply talking to someone on the phone we cannot give an exact estimate which is exactly what we tell each customer that demands an estimate over the phone. "Amp installation starts at xxx and it can go up depending on what exactly we end up working with when you bring the vehicle in" Please understand that in order to get a proper estimate always always always bring everything along with the vehicle to the store and let us look at what you need an estimate on. Thank you for your understanding.
