This company has denied filling my pain medication that I take for spinal stenosis. And then gave me the run around for days. Once me and my doctors office gave them all of the information that they required, then they told us it would take 30 days to receive the information faxed and review it and make a determination. This company is taking people's money and denying filling their prescriptions. How come there isn't a class action lawsuit against this company and it's behavior? Please, someone help stop this fraudulent practice against paying customers.
Absolutely reprehensible company! I am a fortunate that received a liver transplant. That requires me to take anti-rejection medicine everyday. I have done so for 7 years. Five years ago I changed companies and picked a plan that apparently has Future Scripts managing its prescription plan. About 3 weeks ago I needed to renew my program. Should have been a simple task. Over the past 3 weeks I find out I now need a pre-authorization for a medication I have been taking for 7 years, 5.5 of those years has been under this plan. Eventually I had some one at FS admit my plan changed with no notifications. And since I am now considered on a new plan I now need an authorization. Then my physician gets the authorization and I call the pharmacy to reprocess the prescription. Again denied saying I need an authorization. At this point I am out of a required medication. I call FS and Im told it is authorized. Back to the pharmacy to have the reprocess the prescription. Again denied!!! Another call back to FS, and Im told its authorized, but only for a 30 day supply, not 90 day supply like I have been getting for 7 years. Just a brutal, frustrating, non- customer sensitive, or more importantly non- patient sensitive organization. Even after I explained I was out of medicine due to their process being bureaucratic, and if I dont get the medicine I will suffer physical damage or worse, it still took Me saying that the next call will be to an attorney for legal action before anyone escalated, the issue. My next open enrollment, I will pick which ever plan does not use Future Scripts!!!
I've had no problem whatsoever. The woman I spoke to was courteous and very helpful. Once I took 5 minutes to set it up it was DONE. My meds are here when I need them. The cost is better and the convenience is perfect.All of the bad reviews seem suspicious. For me.. I like Future Scripts just fine.
Sadly, I can't choose another pharmacy - Independence Blue Cross has locked us into this. Dr.s office has repeatedly sent scripts - "we haven't gotten them, he must have used the wrong number" ...and yet I got the last shipment from the same doctor - who clearly is using the same number. Note to insurer - perhaps you should throw out the lowest and highest bidders - then assess. Same complaint re Lab Corp- desperately miss Quest.
