This was a long haul, overnight, overseas flight as part of a tour. Arrangements for this flight were made by the tour company and I had no control over the flight choice, the times, and seating choices. Choices were made by cost factors, with little regard for comfort. The weather was good and the flight was full. We are average-sized people and were wedged into our seats like square blocks in round holes and my feet quickly became numb, even though I had an aisle seat. Once the plane got airborne and reached cruising altitude, the cabin got VERY cold. We shut off the seat air, closed the window screen, and used the blanket provided. I was still chilled, so I said something (nicely) to the flight attendant. She tossed me an extra blanket and said she didn't notice it and had asked for the heat to be turned down. She was working and moving so she didn't feel it. Unable to move to keep the blood flowing, meant that passengers would feel this worst and first. I noticed others were cold as well. For the rest of the 9-hour flight, she completely ignored me, like I was a bad passenger. I had no more issues worth mentioning, when I saw that she wasn't interested in trying to make the flight more comfortable. Delta's fares are high. They charge for extra services like all other airlines. There is no reason for such an unpleasant experience and an uncaring attitude on the part of the flight crew.
