Second time I help you to do it right not charging anything, attach you old cushions and compare with our work. something the you did not paid ...i did not charge you because we dont want do business with you ever . PLEASE - DO NOT USE THIS UPHOLSTERY SHOP! You will regret it - even if it costs you more $ to go somewhere else - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - !!! Workmanship is extremely poor, rude owner, incompetent work, cannot deliver anything on-time (ordered on 7-17, received final job on 9-12), was supposed to be ready in about 7-10 business days, the first delivery and the second delivery of job had to be sent back, I would have sent the 3rd attempt back, but I'm exhausted dealing with him and the sloppy work and at this point I feel that he and his workers aren't competent at their craft. He couldn't even get simple breakfast nook cushions right (on second attempt one was cut higher than the other, didn't lay flush with the edge (hung over the edge) looked horrible, was told I needed to pay more for him to cut a new foam (previously when he took the order he said he could use the existing foam insert). On third/final attempt, they are still not right! Side chair job was also horrible, 1st attempt, could see the imprint of the wood frame on the back, nail-heads weren't put on correctly, lumpy job on the back side and a cut on one of the seats to highlight the major issues. He finally got the side chairs acceptable - but this was after he said he would buy more fabric and put seams in the back like it was originally - which he didn't do. At the end of the 3rd attempt to deliver the job and a very long discussion, he offered a minor discount to just end the cycle of sending it back and it being re-delivered and the job still not right. I want to note that one of his comments between the 1st and 2nd delivery when I drove back over to his shop to check the original cushions with the cushions he had created was: "this job is finished... and a waste of his time" wanting to intimidate me to accept his sloppy work - I refused and said I just want it to be done right - I spent over an hour at his hot shop having to show him and his Mother that the breakfast cushions weren't even cut to fit correctly after he said that he had checked them and that they were cut right. Unfortunately I had to show him he was wrong. Now I have to go and have the cushions re-done - this is totally unacceptable. This is not the way to run a business. Run - run - run from this business!
When we dropped off our antique chairs with Fast and Great, the chairs were in great working condition, stable with no wobbling. The only problem was that the old green fabric on the chairs was faded so we supplied Fast and Great with new fabric and asked them to re-upholster the chairs and add a little polish. We contacted Fast and Great multiple times to ask if we could pick the chairs up, as the promised return date came and went. Fast and Great never reached out to us to let us know they were running behind, instead, every time we initiated contact and asked if the chairs were ready they would reply asking for more time. 3 weeks later (which was 2 weeks past our promised pick up time) we finally were allowed to bring the chairs home. At first they seemed great; the fabric looked good and the chairs had a little more shine. However, as we began using the chairs again, we noticed that they had a wobble. This wobble quickly grew into instability. When we gave the chairs a thorough inspection we noticed that Fast And Great had stripped the screw holes and when they reassembled the chairs they did a rush job. The joints were ill-fitting and seemed to not be glued at all. It is unacceptable that we paid over $400 to have 4 chairs reupholstered and cleaned, only to have the chairs returned late and in worse condition. At this point we are having to decide to either completely replace half of each of the antique chairs or retire them. If you have furniture that requires a careful touch and a steady time table, we recommend that you find a different upholsterer/ refurbisher. We would not trust Fast and Great to work on the chairs again.
