I drove my car to Principle to have electrical problems diagnosed, my car was loosing all electrical while driving down the street. I returned to find my starter removed. I took the starter to a third party company that specializes in starters to diagnose. The starter passed testing. I returned to Principle and showed them a video of the starter working. After unsuccessfully talking with management at Principle I was told I could go down the street, buy a starter, and install it myself. I agreed to do so to prove my original starter was not bad and that it was the same electrical problem I came with that was causing my car not to start. After installing the new starter, the car would not start. I asked management if I could show the mechanic the car with the new starter. When management asked the mechanic to go look at the car, the mechanic was yelling and cussing about the car and refused to go. In the end I was told to come and get the car and they would not charge me. I had to pay a tow truck to take the car home that I had originally drove to the shop. I took out the new starter, returned it and put in the original. Now the windows won't roll up and it's raining outside. Now I have to take my car to someone other than Volkswagen to have it fixed. I'm not sure why Volkswagen sent Me this review to fill out. It wasn't my intention to shed light on this event but they asked
Update 5/13/2022. They don't accept car shield warranty at this location because they claim there was some issue between car shield and the dealership and so everyone pays the price. Unacceptable. The level of service continues to fall at Principle. The service guy could have saved me time when I asked if they would use car shield and initially said they would. Yet a few minutes later it was a "no" based on input from another service rep. You didn't help at all Andrew. I made a few calls and the other VW service centers accept car shield. I just think this service center doesn't want to deal with car shield and made up.an excuse. Well here's my excuse. I won't EVER be going here in the future.
The service was done in the manner expected and completed in a timely fashion. The service agent was very professional and made certain my concerns were properly handled.
Excellent service, 100% recommend. Andrew was very helpful. He has been taken care of my account for the last two years since I purchased my new a Ve Atlas.
This service center is horrible. They are not knowledgeable in correct repairs or procedures . They also caused body damage to vehicle while it was in the shop over 5 months. If you have to drive further for service repair then avoid principle VW at all costs.
