If I could give Esch Power Equipment zero stars I would. In 2014, I had my Ariens snow blower picked up for a simple tune up. After snow blower was returned about a month later, it was coated with dust and I had cleaned it before it was picked up. Seems to me, the bill was about $100.00? I didn't notice until driver left, the snow blower auger hood was missing a screw-bolt and Esch picked unit up a 2nd time to replace missing screw and after three days unit was returned still coated with dust. I should have stayed away from Esch after that, but I bought the Ariens snow blower & my Honda lawn mower from them. I called Esch again September 28, 2017 for a tune up & check belts and replace if necessary. After one full month and not hearing a word I called for an update and spoke with parts man Phil, a very arrogant man. I asked him for a update and when I would get snow blower back & mentioned it was a month. Phil said he didn't know when I would get unit back. I have no patients for arrogant rude people and I said: Phil, let me talk with someone that knows when snow blower will be returned and he snapped "NO ONE KNOWS". I said, what a way to run a business! He then said he would wheel snow blower to service. Later on he called & quoted me a $300.00 charge for tune up, replace belts and a scraper bar. I told him to knock off the scraper bar because I had that and skid shoes and the reason I wanted unit back because I had wanted to replace bar & shoes. He knocked off $40.00 for a $260.00 charge. I had bought the scraper bar from Esch March 2017 for $24.00 which means a $16.00 mark up on scraper bar. Today, November 1, 2017, one day from five weeks snow blower was picked up I got it back. On October 26, 2017 when I talked with Phil he said he had to order belts for snow blower. Five days later on October 30th, I called for an update again and Phil said he ordered belts just yesterday 10/30/17 which should have been ordered the day I talked with him on 10/26/17. I will never step foot in Esch Power Equipment again due to over charging, length of time it takes them to the units back & parts guy arrogant Phil. I have already contacted Olsons Equipment in Muskego and from now on Olsons will be my dealership and service my Ariens snow blower & Honda Lawn mower.
We try our best to give our customers an estimated date of return on repairs. As we do not know what is involved in each repair until it is looked at by our mechanics we can not possibly know how long it will take to fix. Sometimes parts need to be ordered. This takes extra time. We can only estimate time frames and in no way give exact dates.

The time frame they give you is terrible. I send my mower in 2 weeks ago to have the main drive belt replaced. I asked no questions on price and just wanted it fixed. I was told it would be a week and a half. OK. 2 weeks later it is going to be another week. I just asked the service guy to give me an HONEST date it would be fixed. I know it is mid summer and they are probably busy but this is as well the time you have to keep customers happy. if there was another local John Deere dealer I would use them instead of Esch.
