I have been volunteering with Razom for a few years now. I came across their work when they staged a performance in Times Square in support of one of the Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia. I was blown away!.. It was professionally done with volunteers dressed in prison suits moving silently in tandem with a giant sand timer solid performance for an important cause! I met some wonderful people through my volunteer work. The crowd is relaxed yet focused on getting things done, warm and welcoming to different backgrounds, ages and affinity groups. Their projects span supporting cultural initiatives in Ukraine and the US, a monthly book club, a toy drive, health-focused support initiatives, raising awareness of injustice and political issues faced by Ukraine - to name a few. If you feel passionate about free and independent Ukraine, dont hesitate - come to a volunteer meeting to check it out and stay to make a difference (and have some fun!)
Here's 5 stars for you. If I could give the entirety of The Ukrainian Village of NYC 5 stars, I would. We need to do whatever it takes to save Ukraine.
