Dissapointment at PAUL Franklin Square. The place looks beautiful and clean. The food is so delicious. However, the service is far from a 5-stars experience. The first time here (yesterday) was similar to today's experience. I thought I should give it a second chance but ended more disappointed than the first one. We ordered some ham&cheese croissant, plain croissant, omelets, & fresh squeeze orange juice. The omelet comes with a tiny 2.25 oz of Heinz Ketchup (which is adorable) but can you believe they charge extra for jam for your croissants? The orange juice was $5.49 (+tax)! It was so good but I think it was somewhat overpriced. I asked if i could get a small cup of fruits for the salad that the omelet comes with. Guess what? They also charge for that. Any modification or substitution has an extra charge. The entire order was a bit over $50 and they still wanted to charge for one side of jam for my plain croissants.
Bad experience in the way they served the hot drinks. Drinks were not great. Very mediocre person preparing and servicing the hot drinks. Same as well at the counter. Mostly to do with employees training.
Great food, coffee, and service! Threw my coffee away from down the street and bought a new one here, no regrets! And the sandwiches and pastries are super tasty.
Dessert was cold and should have been warmed. Tasted like rubber. Staff is friendly but kind of clueless. No baguette? Por qua? This location rarely has any baguette after 4 pm. I really do not get why? Other people must be just like me and want to buy baguette on their way home from work?
