After watching the videos on Kid's Corner at Joni and Friends website, my 5 year old was excited to visit Joni & Friends. We were visiting in the vicinity on Monday 1/22/2018 and decided to stop by to see. We were very disappointed at how cold the staff were there (such stark contrast to the friendliness of the people in the video). I have never seen my son getting disappointed in anything in his life. This is the first. Do we have to be disable to get kind treatment here? Nearby, there is the Agoura Hills Event Center, the staff there were so kind and welcoming. It was such a contrast. I would not go back there. It's not worth the 1.5 hour drive for me.
What a wonderful telephone staff we meet as we order items or give. So very competent, patient and efficient. Thank you for the God-loving people who speak to us in these brief encounters! A reflection of Joni and all there.
I went there a few years ago and I was in I think 2nd grade, this was just a spectacular experience with my classmates:) great to inspire people all ages
One of a kind experience- catch a glimpse of what it's like to live an inclusive lifestyle, creating an atmosphere that values and celebrates the gifts and abilities of every individual. Joni began living life in a wheelchair at the age of 17 after a shallow dive in a lake. Instead of giving up or becoming bitter, she took the challenge head on, setting out to glorify God right in the midst of her circumstances, developing this very unique organization through which our entire nation and world have been changed for the better by showing through example, what it means to honor and include those affected by disability.
