Ordered a birthday cake and it was very very ordinary for an $80 cake. Disappointed. No artistry, very amateurish since I requested to add flower design on the top, and she put the most simplest of all.

LOVED my first cake from Smallcakes Ahwatukee! After a series of ball dropping moments last week, I was scrambling to find a last minute cake for a small birthday celebrationnot easy to do when sourcing many local bakeries that require at least a week or two advance notice. Christian sensed my need and cake enthusiasm and, even though they were booked out quite a ways, still squeezed me in with minimal notice for a darling 6 buttercream frosted chocolate cake. I said I wanted to keep it basic with nothing too customized given the time restraints I was imposing. Christian said that was impossible as they dont do just basic cakes! Sure enough, the piping work and sprinkles added the perfect touch! The cake itself was so so good and there werent even leftoverswe will be back!

Great cupcakes, personally I think these are much better than their competition in Scottsdale. They are expensive, but great for an occasional treat. Service left a lot to be desired and they don't have a lot of selection.
