We use Filevine at my firm, but I would not recommend it for a PI firm unless you have an in-house IT personnel who has fulltime capabilities to manage the set-up, mapping, and communication with Filevine. Given that IT is not our specialty, we have been working (and paying) to try to get our files moved for over two years. We still have not gone live. Filevine customer service has been of little help. We have had to hire multiple third parties to help design and implement the system. Our understanding of the support Filevine would provide when we initially contracted was vastly different from what transpired. We will still go on to use them because of the work and money spent, but in hindsight I would not recommend them.
Im sorry you had a hard time getting a hold of our support team. We try our best to make our team available to all of our customers, but sometimes that means handling many chats at once and balancing phone calls. Were grateful that youve chosen to partner with usplease let us know how were doing in the future as we keep striving for better service.

This is a reasonably good case management system, but I am really fed up with the poor customer service. I pay alot of money for this service and they do not want to actually put a live person on the phone with me. It's ridiculous. They send a link to an article. I had to call twice and insist I speak to an actual person. Once he got on the phone with me, we took care of it in less than a minute. Was that really so difficult?

Best case management software to work with. As a case manager I have used other PI software and I must say that this is the best software I have used. This software helps me keep track of the case load, medical expenses, deadline reminders, document generation, among other amazing things. I hardly encounter issues with the software and when I come with questions Kyle and his team always get back to me to give me an answer or a solution to small issues. The system works perfect and I always look into the new features/updates to be a better asset for the clients, attorney and colleagues. Thank you Filevine for making my caseload easier and timesaver.

We have been using Filevine for several years. It has been a great resource for my personal injury firm and the clients we serve. I love the fact that we can customize it to fit our needs. Hi Michael, Filevine is invested in long term partnerships. Communication is important and it appears that the understanding between the parties was not clear. We do want to take the opportunity to address your concerns. I am aware of the Training you are referring to and it is not the full training our clients receive, rest assured we are happy to ensure that happens at your convenience. As for the functionality of our billing, and email features, we have some exciting releases in the near future and are continuing to release advancements. My experience with Filevine has been atrocious. It started with what can only be described as deliberate misrepresentations during the sales process. They do a demo of a product and then you get your product and it's nothing like what they promised. Here's a glaring example: I go into the system to start keeping time and send out invoices and I can't get into the billing section. When I report the problem, I'm told that billing isn't available because it's in beta mode. So...I can't use the system for one of the key functions. They say that it integrates with email, but that just means you have to cc the file on everything and then you can't even move the documents around in the system. You have download and upload documents if you want them in different sections of the client matter. I was told it integrates easily with Lawpay. Nope. You have to pay a third-party vendor to get it to integrate. Perhaps worst of all, they get you to spend a lot of money on a "training" that they claim sets them apart from all other companies. Well, my team did the full day of training and the "trainer" could barely answer any questions and admitted he wasn't even a trainer. So in addition to wasting all the money we spent on training, we wasted a full day of work. They are unresponsive to these concerns, with their standard response being that we should just do more training. The system is clumsy and the customer service is awful. I would warn any and every firm against using Filevine and I would be happy to talk with any prospective customers about my experience because I do not want what happened to me to happen to others. UPDATE: Even Filevine's response is deceitful. In fact, the training that my team and I went to was the all day training for us. Also, to be clear, even if one were to accept that as true, what Filevine is basically admitting is that their system is so convoluted, that it takes more than an all day training to use their system. I don't think most firms want to have their staff devote multiple days to learning a document management system. Filevine's response tells you just how user-friendly the system is.
