I had a terrible experience here. We were visiting SF and the concierge at the Palace Hotel recommended this place. It looked like it might be okay, but in the end, my girlfriend's haircut came out terrible, all uneven, and her eyebrows were also uneven where she got waxed. Their cosmetologist's licenses were all covered up so they couldn't be seen, but we noticed it too late. I got a haircut too, and my girlfriend had to coach the haircutter through it. It was a total rip-off, and a real disappointment. Don't go to this place!

Tried this salon due to the good reviews but not sure where they're coming from after my bad cut. :( Wasn't expecting a new look, just to chop off a few inches and keep the same style. I don't know how it's possible but the layers I got were very badly done and do not look flattering at all after giving it a few days. I already had a bad feeling from the way my hair was being cut as I've never seen such a way of cutting before, but was hoping the outcome would be fine. Sadly it was not. First time my hair still remained thick and heavy despite a layered cut. Have been getting layered cuts all my life and this ranks amongst the worst. :( Really bummed as photos from some other customers look decent. Did I just get a bad stylist?? Strongly do not recommend if you're looking for a standard cut for Asian hair. Don't take the chance if you can't guarantee the quality. :(

Stacey is great. She'll have you in and out in 30 minutes, and they're very affordable. You can book an appointment online, and they even give you a loyalty card for a free haircut after 8 paid cuts.

This place was booked for me by the concierge at The Palace Hotel. The price was reasonable but I got a terrible haircut. They also talked me into an eyebrow wax and when I got back to the hotel and had my glasses on, I could see they no hair was removed! (My fault for not looking before I left). Also, towards the end of the haircut, I realized that they all had their licenses covered up behind a bamboo plant that sat on the table. There appeared to be only one competent person in the salon. I will be contacting the BBB and the state board to check this out. I feel it was fraudulent.
