Great place everyone was super nice. Didnt have my hair done 100% like I would have but still good job. They only thing that is keeping me from giving it 5 starts is the price. I have never in my life been charge over 40 bucks for a hair cut. Let alone charge theb70 I was charged for my cut tonight plus tip. Didnt have a wash or my hair styled after the cut. Just had my hair trimmed removing dead ends and that's bout it. I think for that 70 is just kinda bit much.
Pretty disappointed at Salon U. I have only went to them because I liked the atmosphere and had good experiences the few times I went there. This was more reason for me to be disappointed by the lack of professionalism I experienced my last time there. I had an appointment scheduled for a haircut and color which I had to rearrange my schedule and my husbands for because I am a mom of 2 (infant + toddler) so I can make it only to find out when I got there that according to the stylist, I was not booked for enough time for my color so I was asked to reschedule. Despite the inconvenience for me, I did and was pleasant about it. I needed to go fix the haircut but did not have a sitter for my kids so I took them with me and was unpleasantly met by the two ladies at the front desk. Michael was there and he asked to speak with me to let me know about their policy of not allowing children under 12. A policy I was not aware of before then. Michael was extremely pleasant and even offered to help carry my stuff upstairs to the styler so we can still make it work which I appreciated. One of the other ladies standing next to him heard him offering help interrupted him and mumbled to him to just bring the styler downstairs. He went to do so and I received not so pleasant looks by the ladies not sure why! This was very disappointing in 2 ways: 1. To see this behavior coming from other women and 2. To see complete disregard to professionalism towards a paying customer. As customer project manager for 8+ years on $M projects, business 101, its okay to explain the rules so folks would know for the next time, but there is no need for the attitude that will just create unnecessary negativity! I did thanked Michael for being pleasant and helpful at the end of my visit.
