My daughter went to the salon about a week or two ago. She had highlighted hair and was looking for a change or touch up. She enjoyed her stylist, however, $300+ later for what typically costs $160-180 in West Omaha - she has ORANGE HAIR.
I had a hard time deciding how many stars to give. This was my first and last time here. It was very chaotic when I first walked in. I stood there for a few minutes before I was greeted (no one had a client they were just all crowded around the front desk chatting). I didn't feel welcomed from the beginning. Overall the end result of my color and cut is fine. The color looks good, albeit uneven, and the trim is what I wanted. When I booked online, it said it would be $160. I booked a haircut (which was actually just a slight trim and thinning) and all over full highlights. I expected it to be slightly more than that due to using toner and extra developer--maybe around $220. However, it was almost $200 more--$345! I was dumbfounded and didn't want to create a scene so I just paid and left. My advice having lived all over the Midwest and going to several different salons (including super posh salons): if you want to charge $350 for highlights and a trim, you need to first be upfront about it, really deep clean the salon, create a more welcoming atmosphere for clients, offer them a beverage right away, and work faster. This was not a $350 experience.
Honestly I'm really disappointed in my one and only visit there. About an hour into my appointment I was asked to sit in the lobby while they filmed a quick little promotional video. I had no problem with it it. Next thing I know they just filmed the multiple times and I've been sitting waiting to resume my appointment for over 30 min. It really seemed that the only person that cared was my stylist. The owner couldn't care less that a client was in there trying to get her hair done. Not once did I get a relax and enjoy my time there because it felt like everyone was so concerned about getting people in that they didn't care about the people that were there. I was greatly disappointed I'm glad to never go back.
