I arrived for my 11:30 appointment around 11:23 when I was greeted by another stylist who told me there was a person ahead of me and that it would take 15 minutes for them to finish, and kept insisting that they take me instead of my scheduled stylist. Being polite I obliged their offer after they told me they could perform the haircut that I requested. I told them that I wanted to clean up my hair and I was growing it out, and I did not want to hinder my progress. Before I knew it, thinning shears were used on the entirety of my scalp before I realized what was happening. I requested the sides and back to be focused on but the thinning shears on the top of my head were what seemed to be the favorite. I think what they were trying to do was make my hair less heavy as my hair is naturally very thick, but that is not at all what I wanted, and they did not ask me beforehand. I was out the door at 11:35, which was not the focus and precision I wanted on my hair, instead of the rushed out the door type of service. I do not know how long it will take for my hair to grow thick again, maybe a few weeks before it starts going back to normal at the base. I am already anxious about my hair growth, so I am mad at myself for being too nervous to say anything. I wouldve been happy to pay more for a more precise fine tuned service, but no amount of money can fix my hair now.

I absolutely love how she genuinely cares for the health of my lashes and works to keep them growing naturally alongside the extensions. I made an appointment a month in advance. Showed up 10 minutes early and 3 minutes after my scheduled appointment time I was told that the stylist would be late because she was waiting on an Uber since she no longer had a car due to a recent car accident. While I do empathize that life happens, at 30 min past my appointment time, when the stylist was still not there, I decided to walk as not to continue wasting my time. This salon came highly recommended and I was truly looking forward to having my first professional service since COVID. The woman who was there, whom I now know was the owner, was so busy with her clients that it didnt really seem to matter that she had a new client waiting for a stylist that never showed. Maybe this was a fluke thing, but to have a new client wait with very little communication and no true effort to rectify the situation besides an Im sorry as I walked out the door is disheartening.
