TLDR: I asked for a high and tight, but received a medium fade and then a bad high fade. It took an hour and a half, I paid $50. I arrived 15 minutes early, said hi and sat down. The barber was cleaning up a spill on the floor. She then started cleaning her whole studio. Started cutting my hair 30 minutes after my scheduled time. Zero'd out my side burns without asking. Stopped cutting my hair to explain the Ukrainian war unprompted for five minutes. Then she asked me how long I want the top after cutting part of it down to a 3 She continued to pause every few minutes to continue a monolog. When she finished giving me a medium fade and asked me if I liked it, I told her I asked for a high and tight. She started repeatingly explaining how inconvenient it is when customers change their minds. She told me that I was giving her double the work and that it took a long time to fade my hair. Told me she had other customers as she swiftly started shaving half my jawline with a straight razor. I didn't ask for a beard trim, I dont every grow facial hair. I was so intimidated that I just sat there. Quite litterally nothing that I asked for. I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt as a person, but I would never recommend this business to anyone.
Carla was so so wonderful to me- I am fairly new to the area but she made me feel right at home!! You can tell that she takes pride in her work and cares for her customers. A great haircut on my short curly hair, too!
